QUOTE(mustang @ May 10 2009, 11:33 PM)
Have anybody encountered DA card been rejected at petrol station after numerous visits to petrol station at the same day?

Some extra notes (all happen at the same day)
- There is still a long way to go before reaching my credit limit.
- I tried once and I canceled the transaction. After which I went to another petrol station to fill up. After ard 2-3 hrs of driving, I refill my petrol at another pump and this time, it start to fail. How I verify is I made another visit to another different station.

Question:
- Is there a certain limit where we can only make for a day?

thanks

My problem was the stupid chip for the Mastercard. Maybe the Petronas readers "destroys" it after prolong usage...
Just ask for my 3rd Mastercard replacement...lucky it's FREE.

That day help my friend pump Petronas (he pay cash  tongue.gif  )

After swipe MBB Petronas Visa, now it prompts out please swipe Mesra card. I don't have Mesra card. So, what does it mean ?
i) Get 5x TP and Mesra points ?  drool.gif
ii) Get lesser TP and Mesra points ?  doh.gif
iii) No TP ?  doh.gif
iv) Petronas will have system to distribute points ?  hmm.gif

I know TP and Mesra points are different.
*
Mesra points is given by Petronas to have more people use Petronas
TreatPoints is given by Maybank to ensure people use their Maybank CC

No conflict, right ?

question:

can you tell whether a card is a principal or supplementary by the 16 digits? how does it work then if i were to apply for a card and i send them a supplementary photocopy..would that work as well?
*
Don't try to cheat a system created by banks....Of course the bank would know. unless you just want the sign-up free gift.

I got my AF waived by emailing to CS. The condition is to spend min 12 times in current year or the AF will be reinstated. The supplementary card attached to this Citibank Shell Card also enjoy the same privilege. I saved almost RM300 on AF (RM195 + 100). This is my second year with them.

I prefer cash rebate because once the amount reaches RM20, your rebate will be reflected in the next month bill. No need to request for it. Some months I'm getting more than RM100 rebate and with the AF waiver, it's a good deal to me.
*
Reason why I don't like Shell-citibank is waiting to accumulate the rebate to minimum RM20 before it is credited into your account.
RM20 = 2% x RM1000 spending, right ? Unless you pump such high amount in a single billing cycle.

With my Direct Acess Mastercard, the 2% rebate is credited back onto the same billing cycle on petrol purchases from any Petrol station you prefer.
Eg.
Billing cycle is from 15 May to 14 June 2009
Total petrol used in this period is RM500.00
At 14 June 2009, I can see credit of RM10.00 (2%).

Further more DA is Free-For-Life wihtout needing to email or call CS to waive it...

Not only from shell purchase - from the total spending for the month.
*
But you still need to spend at least one transaction with Shell to get it credited it back to you.
Try it if you don't believe.

If you purchase a LCD TV worth RM10,000 and no Shell purchases, you get 1% back = RM100 but it will never get credited back.

my company bank-in our salary to CIMB bank. recently myy colleague who is a fresh grad wants to apply cc and she applied for CIMB petronas. besides asking for all the standard documents like payslip etc, they also ask for her printed bank account statement. since our salary is banked into the same bank, why can't they just checked from the system? So troublesome to go to the bank to get a printed statement? Does every first time cc application need to provide this? I don't think i had to last time.

Credit department is separate from the banking department... though in the same bank. That's life.
Would you like the Credit Card department to take money out of your Savings accounts when your balance is overdue without your knowledge ?

The cashier should ask if you want to pay via Credit or via Debit. But the cashier must be trained to ask..else it's up to the Cashier to punch whatever he/she likes.

Ohh... then there's will be alot of CIMB World Mastercard holders then... do they have Direct Access World Mastercard also ?

I received a EzyCheque from Maybank. It's based on my Maybank CC.

One-time interest paid (cash advance fee) at 3.88% with 6-month installament programme. The amount is RM 2000 only.

Throw it away... it's evil.
Bank had to resort to such "dirty" tactics to make you poorer

I usually make it a point to call CS to tell them where I maybe using the card.

Eg. Let's say I'm in Australia and called CS before my trip...if a fradulent transaction is done in Malaysia...it's a fraud, right ?
