Hi guys, if i have 6k to do balance transfer.... which bank has better offer?

I was told Public bank give good deal but a month back ambank got promotion like 3k get a phone, 6k get lcd tv......

can anyone let me know which bank has it? i try to look around in queensbay last week and found nothing.

The best Balance Transfer is still PB. 2nd to none so far

Whatever Ambank giving for its BL, I wont recommend to take it. its not worth it and another major point would be Ambank dont have Cash Deposit Machine. So you need to queue up during your lunch hour once every month to pay your bill. rclxub.gif

If you have newly approved Credit Card then normally they give 1 time 0% interest with only small upfront fee.

I dont think all bank have such offer.

anybody knows about affinbank balance transfer rate? its not stated on their website.

They no longer have any BL program. Their last BL would be 4% p/annum for 12 month.

PB BL might have the best BL around but there is one big (kinda huge actually) obstacle. Anyone having more than 4 credit card have not been known to apply succesfully from PB so far. (anyone manage to get it with even 3? I might be wrong)

It have been discussed in this thread before that PB cc is the hardest to apply. sweat.gif

Hi all, my parent found out that they been charged RM15.61 by CIMB bank for not paying the full amount of Credit Card on that month(accidentally left out RM31.59 and paid the remaing of dept one day late)

my question is how come is RM15.61? The interest they charged is damn high for the late payment of the amount of RM31.59. AFAIK, the interest rate is just 1.8% per month for CC outstanding balance.

1)interest rate is 1.5% p/month

2) if you pay only on due date, you would have accumulated 2 weeks of interest

3) late charge min rm10 i think

I dont know if this info is outdated, but a few years ago, I heard RHB would accept basic as low as RM1200. if you have other pending loan like car loan, then its different story.

lowest in the market I think.

that is right but i think uob T&C is really excessive. read a few times only understand. rclxub.gif

Hi GHz, Im a UOB 2 card user. mind to elaborate what do you mean by excessive? maybe i should know a few thing i didnt notice after using the card for so long blush.gif

So far so good, no complain. For the annual fee, they would give you 2 card, you just need to swipe it for 6times each for each card. I think this is better than citibank Choice card where you need to swipe twice a month.

For UOB card, you can just swipe at the 12th month to waive the annual fee. Other than petrol, they got a min 0.3% cash back for all purchase.

I usually redeem the cash back while watching movie at GSC

Might not be the best but it'll do for me thumbup.gif

I don’t like the condition of a max pool in particular. The RM100k quota can easily finish within the 1st few days of each month if people use their cc for purchase of air tickets.

Enjoy cash rebates of up to 10% on petrol and groceries at all petrol stations and major hypermarkets. Cash rebates offer starts from 1 May 2009 until 31 August 2009.

I think it'll take a few more dozen of years till we can buy air tickets from hypermarket. But I might be wrong blush.gif

hi guys, need help to calculate how the bank charge interest here.

let say this month i swipe 3 times of RM1000, so the total bill will be RM3000.

and the statement come, i only pay the RM50 minimum payment, isit RM3000 x 13.5% or RM2950 x 13.5% ?

also what if i pay RM1500? isit RM1500 x 13.5% or RM2000 x 13.5%?

thanks
*
I dont know how your min payment can only be RM50 unless if your purchase of RM2k is after your cut off date

if you got leftover debt from previous month, then interest is calculated daily. if no debt then if should be RM2950 x 13.5%

3rd Q = daily interest as well and I dont know where you get the RM2000 x 13.5% from.
