QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jun 15 2009, 01:39 AM) Direct Access belongs to CIMB Bank. It was a brand previously owned by Southern Bank. You must be a degree holder to be eligible for any card issued by Direct Access. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(winner @ Jun 15 2009, 09:13 AM) While sending your application to DA or CIMB, you may try your luck and apply for Alliance Younique. The entry level is as low as DA. On the plus side, your retail purchases can automatically reward you with 0.5%-1.365% cash rebate, on top of that timeless reward points are also given. However, you need to swipe the cc for at least 12 times in order to get the annual fee waived automatically. p/s: I am not working with Alliance, I am not attached to any financial intitutions and I am not in finance field either. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(winner @ Jun 15 2009, 01:47 PM) It's 0.5%-1.365% rebate, subject to a max cash back of RM68.25 per month. meaning that if in a month i spend RM200 and if i get 0.5% rebate im getting RM1 rebate in this month? To enjoy waiver for AF, the cc needs to be swiped for a minimum 12 times of any amount per year. AF meaning? urm if i swipe the CC in petrol station counted or not? if i only swipe RM10 petrol every month le? Lol. so at the end of the year i wil get 12swiped =X and wat if i only swipe it 11times? LOLx. too many question to ask =X |

QUOTE(winner @ Jun 15 2009, 03:14 PM) Cash rebate is applicable to all retail transactions, including purchases at petrol stations. If you spend RM10 per month only, your cash rebate @0.5% is 5 cents. ok cool that for reply. then how bout those interest rate? late payment and wat other charges in CC? normally AF how much? If you swipe the card <12 times per year, AF will be imposed. But you can ask for waiver, subject to approval from the bank. Please browse through the whole CC Thread for your knowledge. AF = annual fee |

QUOTE(winner @ Jun 15 2009, 08:25 PM) If you ask me about the interest rate charged by cc, I am afraid I am not the suitable person to give you the answer! I may sound a bit offensive to others but this is my sincere advice. urm so if i made a full payment den i wont be getting other charges like late payment and interest?? of course i will make a full payment.. sorry sifu im noob. i just want to know the interest rate and late payment rate and other charges.. wah AF RM148.. @.@ .... CC making me As for the AF, Alliance Younique is giving waiver for the 1st 3 years if you apply for the card before end of July’09. Should you swipe the cc less than 12 times in the 4th year, the AF will be RM148. You can request for AF waiver, but banks always have the final say. |

QUOTE(arsenal @ Jun 19 2009, 01:02 AM) but i heard u guys said DA only for degree +++.. im only diploma le...QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jun 19 2009, 01:09 AM) You:nique card 9% option Genx i dun spend much and my income very low. and i only got diploma cert. im only plan to use the CC more on petrol. my petrol every month average only RM200. which card should i take can i get any advice from u guys? let say if i take You:nique cash rebate and i pay my bill on time do i need to pay any extra charges? and what charges for annual? in a year i swipe 12times den i no need to pay the annual? then how bout PA for cash rebate and what does PA mean? Your finance charge is only 9% p.a. for the first 12 months, and thereafter it is subject to your payment behavior in accordance with Bank Negara tier interest guidelines. If you consistently make minimum payment every month, the finance charge remains at 9% throughout the tenure of the card. From above, after the 1st year, it says if you consistently make minimum payment then you enjoy the 9% interest. What if you pay more than the minimum payment? Rule No.1, do not have outstanding balance. Rule No.2. see Rule No.1 You:nique card 2X rewards Means you get twice the reward points as compared to the cash rebate option. If you ask me, just forget about this option and take the cash rebate option where you get cash back and reward points. You:nique cash rebate Please note that the cash rebate is based on tiers and up tp 2%. If you have read previous post in this thread, the max cash rebate is something like max RM68 where no cash rebate is given if you spend more than RM5K for each statement period. Click here to read more on my comments on You:nique Direct Access Card - if you are a graduate or member of some profesiional board you will get free for life annual fees without any conditions attached. Since you spend so much, may i suggest that you get an AMEX Gold Charged Card (because Plat Charged Card hard to get AF waiver) where you won't technically have a credit limit and at the same time they do have pretty good offers (presently 8X rewards points for petrol and groceries) and the "cash back" in terms of redemption is 1.5% if you sign up for 3X Turbo irregardless of how much you spend.
