My company has offerings for SCB CC with NO annual fee (waived), NO hidden cost and NO strings attached...

I'm a bit skeptical on the no annual fee part as I know SCB do not have any free for life CC without conditions.

But is it possible for SCB to offer free for life CC through company?

They must give you a form which declares the promotion and you actually have to sign on the form! This is a standard SCB practice to avoid any disputes. If they just give you word of mouth then ... you get the idea lor. hmm.gif

Thanks bro. I'll check with the agent on this then to make sure on the TnC. If its free for life with no condition, no harm for me to apply.

i have a cimb petronas mastercard.
can i use the ipay plan?
the ipay plan is not shown in the cimb petronas page

from here http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=16219456
Post #1573, the forummer said that petronas mastercard user can't use the ipay plan.

but when i called up cimb call centre a minute ago, the operator said that its applicable to all mastercard.

so, has any cimb petronas mastercard user ever tried to use this ipay plan?

If the card can cancel just by a phone call then no problem,
but like last time when I want to cancel my MBF Cards,
I need to go to their office in person to fill up the form.

CS : Why you don't want a gold card?
Me : Cos I need to swipe for 24 times instead of 12 times for classic card
CS : You can cancel it in 6 months.
Me : But I've done a BT
CS : So you need to fully settle it before cancel.
Me : So I've paid interest upfront and I need to fully settle it just to terminate the card?
CS : That's right.
Me : My BT ties to a 12 months plan.
CS : Then you need to utilize the card for 12 months and cancel it.
Me : So EON bank is forcing me to use the card?

facts: you did a balance transfer -> you do not pay full payments -> you pay late payment interests -> you are a credit card defaulter (before you did a balance transfer)

honestly, the banks like customers like you. the interest you pay can never match the amount they get from merchant credit card charges. they try their best to keep you. they love you (no pun intended)

if you actually believed that they upgraded you to gold simply and the fact that this would further tie you down did not cross their mind, you may be wrong.
they may had it all planned. they know your cannot cancel your card now.
now you just have to check the terms, most probably you could demand for classic back, but hmmm it's gonna be tiring.

FYI, look again, any of you guys already getting the slightest idea that the customer service officer above is "well trained" The staff asked if you want to cancel your card, not if you insist on changing back to classic. If the staff it a normal credit card agent, die die also give you classic, dun want you dun have card with them.

nice try, when you made the wrong joke about customer service letting it all out
anyway, the post was for other people's education, not really a reply to you

you CANNOT DO balance transfer in Malaysia if you don't have outstanding balances with interests
so there are no assumptions here. and hope you're not going to say you meant BT as bluetooth.

Quoting my post with lots of "yous" and say it's not a reply to me? Please change "facts" to "assumptions" as they were not "facts" to my case if you intend to educate people.

At least some ppl agreed that the CS is an idiot, which is why I stopped talking to her about that and went straight to complains to get my classic card back.

But I don't understand what you mean by joke and letting it all out, can explain?

Why can't I do a balance transfer if my monthly expenses (auto debit etc) is 3k monthly? wink.gif

This month I itchy secured another property so I did a balance transfer for the fun of it whistling.gif

This thread is to educate people on credit cards, not passing judgments.

Just be one step ahead of them. Easy, the form can tick multiple cards - just cancel out the other boxes. rclxms.gif I did this a few time and I could have swore the agent face changed. I learnt this the hard way when Citibank agent did this to me - I made a fuss and the cc sales supervisor called me and apologize. Told me staff will be taken action against and up to this point it went well.

I had to go to several "interviews" just to have the other card cancelled and they (card cancellation dept) refuse to merge the CL back to the main card. I told them point blank and said it was their fault my CL got split to 2 cards and they should rectify it. They refused (more like avoided the topic or shifted the subject around to other depts) and I eventually cancel all the cards that I have with Citibank. I know they are good but I can't tolerate it when they BS me.

Since then, I am more careful when filling up the form and sometimes I even warn the agent not to ever attempt to apply 2 cards without me knowing. I never had any problems since then. (Hope it stays that way)
