u ask kfc management y want take CC, since every1 is paying CASH...

May be they just want to follow other countries, and make CC the main mode of payment. I just wonder when they will make CC as a payment option for local taxi biggrin.gif Singapore taxi is accepting CC as a mode of payment for quite a while now. Taxi in New York is not only accepting CC, they are offering a small personal TV for passengers behind too tongue.gif

QUOTE(hye @ Mar 28 2009, 10:50 PM)
Burger King outlet accepts cc as well (I go to the one in KLCC). Machines used to be working well and then only 1 works. Now they just tell me that the machine is not working at the moment and it has been the case for many weeks already.
Another problem with local fast food chain restaurant is that not every counter accept CC as a mode of payment mad.gif

QUOTE(he-sham @ Mar 30 2009, 03:17 PM)
cc terminal in malaysia quite slow la i think...
when i shopped in london, frankfurt & paris, their terminal really fast...it's really take only a swipe..straight forward receipt will come out....i also quite surprise since the card is from local bank (i used ambank mastercard & bank islam mastercard & citibank visa)....

Yeah, this is true. I'm not too sure about London, Frankfurt or Paris but this is true in USA. Their machine is really fast and you'll be impressed !

QUOTE(he-sham @ Mar 30 2009, 03:17 PM)
plus they always prefer using card rather than cash....most of customer use card....even 5 Euro KFC meal...
Saying so would be a little bit overexaggerate but yeah, most people in the West use CC most of the time smile.gif

Yes, the cc machine is wireless in some Europe country, their cc printing machine can take over to the front of customer and print it out in front of them, this lower the risk that the worker involve in cc criminal. Like some cases happened in Malaysia, the restaurant waiter double swipe and ask the customer to sign on it.

MilesAndMore it's true that people in the US for example use their credit cards much more than in Malaysia. One thing that makes me more confident of using my card in the US is the customer protection from fraudulent transactions etc. It's mostly a miss in Malaysia, someone clones your card and you're responsible most of the way. The RM250 limit imposed by BNM doesn't seem to be enforced by many card issuers today.

Yes, how do we register at realrewards.com.my in order to login since we don't have PIN?

If we use it to pay bills online, we can get realrewards points as well?

their cc terminal varies la...but most of them located at customer side of the counter...some also got integrated with the cashier's lcd...they just swipe it (i mean in one motion) once...straight forward they cash drawer open meaning the transaction been authorized... less than 2 seconds i would say.... but of course it take sometime to be posted or appear in our bank online system...the fastest for oversea transaction i would say around 3 days....

btw, cimb DA having promotion for oversea transaction..... cardholder with the highest oversea transaction will get free iphone 3g 16g drool.gif ....
planning to buy something in jakarta next week.... hehe brows.gif

1) No point for me to hold so many CC. I already have several backup CC and plan to cancel some.
2) The 60k annual income min limit is too low shakehead.gif
3) Do not foresee a need for S&C CC in future use, although I have an existing M1 a/c.

IC u are looking for a 'better' platinum card.

The promotion is quite tempting tho, i.e. RM50 cash on credit card with a free saving account, with RM30 in it. I did not apply as it is inconveniet for me.

wat S&C did is worsening the platinum and gold card status. ( although they had visa infinite which the requirement is almost the same as other bank's platinum )

this make platinum dun look exclusive anymore shakehead.gif

I agree. On the other hand, they are trying to attract those users, who are desparately for Platinium to apply due to the degrade of the requirement.
