What sort of "goodness" are you looking for ? Card main feature is cash rebate (between 2-5%), up to RM600 p.a.
*
..if you manage to get RM600 rebates with RM15,000 spending, it' quite good coz it's 4%

anyway i dont have the card, dont know whether to apply or not...

seems like it's the best long term card for the time being, in term of rebates lah at least...

Yes ... it is. Plus, please make sure you don't accumulate debt on this card. (or on other cc's) Otherwise lose all the savings.
Once finish off the RM600, keep the card and use other cards for rebates. Once your rebate reset again then do it all over again.

Perhaps the bank is aware that consumers is going to do this trick but heck! Enjoy it while it last! At least you know your rebate is yours up to RM600 and no need to SMS or worry about quota.

..pls remember the RM100K is per month, so next month make sure you swipe early (petrol in denomination of RM50 and Hypermarket in RM100)

if i'm not mistaken 1st of July is Wednesday.. go to a Hypermarket, swipe RM500.. and be done with.. move to PB card for next purchases (8X, RM625 equals to RM50 rebates, the max)...

not really, you can spend RM12000@5% (all on Friday) = average spend RM1000/month
but be aware that annual fee waiver apply to min RM15000 = average spend RM1250/month

if u spend on non fridays only, you'll need average RM2500/month for max RM600 rebate

I have received SCB Just1 Titanium this late afternoon. I never expected SCB sent me the cc so fast, as I only received their SMS yesterday. I received 2 surprises when I opened the envelope. First surprise, the card looks simple but nice (little bit like World cc). Second surprise, the approved CL is 104% higher than my existing HLB and Citi Plat, and 325% higher than my Alliance!!! SCB is very generous in giving a high CL. Since today is Friday, I swiped the card at Petronas (full tank) and Modestos (happy hours). biggrin.gif

I am wondering whether SCB will change their terms after knowing many ppl do this way. In this way, can they earn?

The main source of income for banks is INTEREST. By giving you cash rebates and promotions, some people tend to spend more but not afford to make the full payment. SCB can always make $$$ from the interest charged for BT, outstanding balance, easy payment and cash advance, as well as late payment charges. Banks will always be the winners.

It is just a laptop with basic features. You may need to upgrade quite a bit for better efficiency. It would be better to do a market survey first before you purchase it.

Guys =/ I made my mind either to get Petronas CIMB or Maybank card..

But then I hear about these cashback cards... Any of those cards that have no annual fee & for fresh grads like the Petronas card?

If none I must make my mind either CIMB or Maybank Petronas card. Which will be better? 2% rebate or treats points?

Over the short-term, SCB Just1 is good. Once you have hit the RM600 limit, you can switch to other cc with cash rebates.

call their cs twice b4 i apply last week, has been told if u want more rebate 'limit', u can always apply another sup card, as every approved card/sup card will have 600 annual limit. not per 'account holder'. so, each principal can actually apply up to 5(if my memory serve me right) sup card, so 6x600=3600 rebate per year. any1 done mind to cal them and double confirm on tis again..

still waiting for my principal & sup card to b here...

I think it is not per calender year but 1 year after the card approve.

Many bank can apply online now such as uob, public bank & hsbc but you still ned to fax or hand over your supporting documents.

To apply for credit card you do not need bank account.

CIMB Petronas have 0.5% cash back. For me I like cash back.

Yes, that what their CS told me too but remember that each supp card you need to spend RM7k per year to avoid paying AF.

When I received the Just1 card, I did not see the small long-shaped T&Cs booklet normally attached to a new cc. Only some brochures and a guide book are attached, but detailed T&Cs are not indicated in the guide book. Besides that, I can’t find a notice mentioning the participating petrol stations for cash rebate in the guide book and all the brochures in the envelope. Perhaps SCB has removed the notice to avoid confusion?

It ought to be via courier, viz. Poslaju normally.
