yeah... i just called the customer service. According to her, all the application forms will be submitted to KL main branch for processing. The fastest way is to go there personally apply or send the forms via courier.

Just make sure U have all the documents when U get there. Ask her what's the best time - is there a cut off time for applications? If so, make sure U go before the cut off time so U can put your application in ASAP

Can someone with experience advice. Now I got HSBC amanah approve and get card already but I want to change to normal HSBC and they say different company or management so can not change and I have apply as new for normal HSBC card again. My question is do I need to cancel the amanah first before I apply normal hsbc card? I scare later they see I already got amanah so they don't approve another normal card for me already.The CS said it is different management, different card and credit line. Anyone know what I need to best to get my normal card approve? Cancel amanah first or not?

HSBC Amanah is indeed under different management team since it's a Islamic based CC. It should be under HSBC Islamic Bank. Conventional HSBC CC is under HSBC Bank. I don't see a problem of applying additional conventional CC on top of HSBC Amanah.

Personally I don't think you need to cancel the amanah. Don't see why they can't give HSBC can't give you a card, since they're of different management than the amanah side. Probably you could call up the customer service and verify this (HSBC side, not the amanah guys).

Just out of curiousity, why want to move from Amanah to the regular?

Most probably because of the perks offered. Many promotions and privileges do not apply to HSBC Amanah credit card. Shame ...

Infact I don't think too many ppl would know this. My fren was saying HSBC have pretty good privileges and he wanted to apply for one. He got himself an amanah one since he knew someone there.

I get no promotion thing from amanah so no use also keep the card.Like direct access, I have the card then I try apply cimb.. it is different companies/management but they say I already have direct access so they have say cancel my application.I scare hsbc also same.One of my friend has amanah platinum he said you call in or service also same like normal card no special treatment or line.So I don't want amanah already
