QUOTE(alzaim @ Apr 8 2009, 10:38 PM) good nutrition should always be constant. Figure out what works best for your body and stick with it.If you have to stray from the diet, label those as cheat meals and try to keep it under 2 a week. There's a link on the page mofolynx posted that has good nutrition advice that go with the cardio + weight training regiment : http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/satter3.htm QUOTE(cracksys @ Apr 8 2009, 11:16 PM) This question is too general and as been asked too many times in here.If you are serious about fitness, you should not have any expectations. Instead, have goals. How many times a week do you workout? What sort of exercise do you do? What is your diet like? What is your current body state? Do you get enough resT? From the info you've given, I can just tell you to expect lots of pain and soreness from your muscles. |

QUOTE(cracksys @ Apr 8 2009, 11:16 PM) depends how u do it and depends on ur diet.depends on ur genetic... and... MANY factors la bro... haha... but definitely better than the way u r now. =.= unless u go in see gals... then no comment. 3 months gym? i think u will increase ur strength by some %. even if u carry 3kg dumbell everyday, by 3 months i bet u can at least carry 5kg. this is just an example. so... nth for u to lose, but lots to expect from... its how u do it. nobody can say wat to expect. i have started gym for 7 weeks now my record is : (base on 1RM) deadlift - 140kg squat - 115kg bench press - 85-90kg well, it all depends on individual... so we cant judge for u bro... All the best! =.= |

QUOTE(pizzaboy @ Apr 8 2009, 08:22 PM) I've managed to gain from 59KG to 77KG with my bodyfat levels being just about the same as it was when I began. Probably slightly higher with 2% more bf but that's probably because I've not watched my diet since the past year. There is a method of doing it, and it's not even as complex or troublesome as the velocity diet and all that. yea, i am still experimenting with my diet... cz jz really follow it for 2weeks, cant see any difference yet...thanks for the info pizzaboy QUOTE(mofonyx @ Apr 8 2009, 09:06 PM) Okay I didn't want to post at the last post of the page lol. Thanks Kirks for taking that post thanks for the info bro... then i will continue my cardio routine...Anyway I found my resource. Why do I spend 30 minutes of my time looking this up? Because, because, because a lot of people on LYN (or anywhere else for that matter) thinks that cardio is bad for you. How can something so healthy be bad for you?! Insane. First off: http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/satter2.htm Second very informative thread with great replies by Layne Norton (that guy is a beast) http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=99420 There's so much to be gained from cardio. These few days I noticed there are a couple of big guys hanging around at Bukit Beruang at around 6.30pm for dinner. I wonder if it's anyone of you guys there.

QUOTE(pizzaboy @ Apr 8 2009, 09:00 PM) You know...can I use this example again? Okay I'll use it. Boxers and a lot of MMA fighters who move up a weight class, actually do it via conditioning circuits? It is probably the only way they will move up a weight class. Conditioning as in those in Ross Training's Magic 50 and No Excuses stuff? This is because bigger boxers have bigger punches but also high conditioning levels. To get stronger but lose your conditioning is akin to buying a riced up R34 without petrol. Cardio isn't wrong for bulking. It's just excessive cardio that kills it. That's why conditioning circuits are always gold. Are there any other conditioning exercises? QUOTE(mofonyx @ Apr 8 2009, 09:06 PM) Good stuff there, Mofo! Thanks for digging it up. Basically we're supposed do some serious HIIT lah. Damn, I've been neglecting cardio for so long. No wonder my belly is starting to become more and more boroi! --- That Satterwhite article mentioned this: QUOTE And because contracting muscle has an insulting-like action (you probably call it the "pump"), all the extra movement from the cardio will be drawing more IGF-I in to cells. So it would be wise to find some type of cardio that uses a lot of different muscle groups. You guys reckon running is enough for "a lot of different muscle groups"? Running HIIT plus some conditioning work? |

HIIT is good enough. Breathing hard, running, flailing your arms around like a girl.
Basically you get a lot of anabolic hormones kicking in when you do your cardio. Improves recovery and helps you get big. Like heavy squats do. So win win win! (at least that's what I gathered from reading the article a few months ago) |

Haha I should start a separate thread.
Will do so when I have time. I did some HIIT vs LISS research a while back. On top of that, also Pre/Post-HIIT nutrition, fasted state vs fed state cardio. |

If you hit the gym hard, taking whey and other supplements. No need few years, 1 year time your whole body can be a bad ass.
Most people they train 3 days per week, if you train like 5 - 6 days per week. Fuhhh! Muscles koyak orgasm only last for 1 - 2 days, and you don't workout each muscle once a week. Once the koyak orgasm is gone, you kasi koyak more! I rike it! |
