QUOTE(darklight79 @ May 3 2009, 12:19 PM) I know what you're trying to say, that in a nutshell it's one big slab of muscle and you can't target just once part of the muscle but I'll tell you it isn't so. EMG studies have already proven so with, for examples different types of grips on barbell curls targeting either more on the inner or outer head, etc. And for this case anatomically, the chest has a sternal part and a clavicular part so different exercises would be necessary. Interesting. Cheers. ----- To those discussing variation on chest exercises, if you don't have a problem with heavy dips, you should do it. This post has been edited by mofonyx: May 3 2009, 06:34 PM

^ He looks...big.
I do a combination of barbell and dumbbell presses for chest. Granted, the dumbbells give me a much better pump but I find incline barbell press does stimulate as well as dumbbells. Different strokes for different people.

hummm... for me barbel press is more on the outter part of the upper chest and the db incline is a bit more to inner part. So i do incline db press then incline smith machine press. Pretty satisfied with the burning process thou .

what up guys. i`ve been playing around with dumbels for some years now but still sucks.. recently my dad just bought a press machine? it got leg ext and chest press and etc. i dont really know what its called. so i`m gonna get serious from now on.
i just bought on whey and eas phospagen 2 days ago. i got it for 199(whey) and 100+(creatine) from gnc.
i`ve been using this machine for a month (without propper suplement). and i can feel my musles are getting bigger.
should i go to the gym?? beside that press machine, i got a threadmill, exercise bicycle, and a dumbell. i`m thinking off getting a barbell and another dumbell. would that be enough?
and please dont shoot me. i`m noob. hehe

Check with u all, which is better ? Hitting a bodypart once a week or 2x per week ?
It its once a week, lets say 4 exercises/day. If its 2x per week, then only half the intensity, ie only 2 exercises for that part a day.
Thx.

really inspiring how he trained his body, Hugh Jackman...at 6' 3", he wasn't the athlete type... In an interview with Men's Health Magazine, Jackman said, "I'd change it up every 3 weeks... Three weeks heavy with lots of rest between sets. Then change to lighter weight, slower reps, four count up, four count down. Then mix in fast, explosive lifting, always changing the workout." An article about Jacko by Brian BullmanSomething we should know about Jacko # Hugh can bench press 315 lbs and leg press 1000 lbs. # He was voted People Magazine's World's Sexiest Man 2008! # Jackman changes up his workouts every 3 weeks.

Yeah. He had chicken breast and salmon every 3 hours.
Acting is his job. He has to look good for his role. His fat% was pretty high when he starred in Wolverine. No ripped chest and abs but his arms and shoulders were terrific. He looked leaner in Australia.
