Added on March 4, 2009, 12:58 pmi looked at LY price for 4870 in average is RM900 but ATi said their price is $199

RM900/ $199 = 4.5 (over the currency exchange)
therefore to estimate new card price

$149 x 4.5 = RM670

that why i told before.
the price did not use currency exchange.

if you said 3.7 is the multiplier
GC 4870 worth $199 card will equal to RM736

but you can see most of 4870 GC worth around RM900
means that the multiplier is 900/199 = 4.5 > 3.7

it is RM900 divided by USD199 (Malaysia 4870 price divided by USD price)
use your calculator and get 4.5226, which mean price in malaysia didnt follow cuurency exchange to USD (3.7)

so to estimate the price drop, you need new price (USD149) multiply by 4.5
and equal to RM670

149 = ??

but still, i think the shop wont drop their price for this few month until they buy new stock

if 2x 4850 is better than new 4870 why not?

maybe Q2 is too early. im hoping it will be in Q3, but from experience it will drag to Q4
