There's a device where it uses a timer to release food to your fish. I saw that in Pet's Wonderland on Ikano! Should be handy while you are away!

Had a stressed goldfish today. I think I put too much salt after a backwash refill.
The fish was just hiding itself in one place and hardly moved. Check the fish throughly and there was no sign of infection.

I removed a quarter tank of water and put 'new' tap water plus stress reliever (Nutrafin). After awhile, all my 7 fishes were active plus the stressed one gasping for food. I thought I solved the problem.

Now, the 'stressed' fish still stays still in one place at the bottom? Any advice?

How come I can't see this post in Pet Wonderland?

Ok prolly due to server down.

During the weekend I did a water change 80%. After the water change I think I added too much salt. One of my Ranchus seems to just hide itself at the bottom and seldom moved. Using kentkt's link (thanks again), I managed to find out that I added too much salt and caused the ranchu to 'stress'.

So I remove 20% water and refilled with just tap water and added Nutrafin. The next morning, all fish NORMAL! Thank god!

Hi All,

Anyone can share with me at KL where can buy those small / baby ranchu? Typically ranchu quite expensive, while I have budget, so looking for nice small/baby ranchu :-)

Anyone can recommend?

Thanks first.

Depends on where you keep them and how is the water condition! Food is secondary and they often behaves like the master starve them!

I keep my goldfish in my courtyard and besides using a UV filter, I use these items Nutrafin, Biozyme formula50, Salt stress reliever, and a few drops of LIFE bearer (gill flukes, body flukes, fish lice-parasite killer) after each 'refill/top-up' or water change. Nowadays I am quite lazy and have since changed water every 3 months. Notforgetting having a 'bandaraya' which I always return to the shop for a smaller sized one every 3-4months.

I had 9 goldfishes since Oct 2006 and now after close to 2 years, left only 6. The 3 that died (different time) had some skin disease on them and that made the 'bandaraya' attacked them.

used to have many gold fish last time...but always die due to no electricity (very common 10 years back in KL)...so decided not to rear any now, feel so pity to them...

damn i remember back then last yr i had a pond with goldfishes....lionheads....ranchus...pearlscales....dragons...butterfly...even had a rare green coloured ryukin...an accident happened one day when the pipe that releases water into the pond was blocked and my sis foolishly turned on chlorinated water and 90% died.....left like 2....then my dad bought a stupid kaloi and put into the pond and it killed all the goldfish...like thousands of ringgit gone....

I'm having 5 goldfish inside a 2ft tank. currently, having problem with the waste produce by these fish... i have to clean the filters inside the wall hanging type pump.

need advise: will add a external canister will help in cleaning the water? this is because i read that it is not good to wash the filters everyday, as it will kill good germs inside it.
