Hey guys, my sister's iPhone is having trouble syncing with my new computer. When she connects it to the new computer, a message appears from iTunes saying all her photo and music files will be deleted if she connects it to this computer. In short, how do I connect her iPhone to my new computer without having to delete her previous files? Any ideas? One more thing, she also can't install a third-party application from her iPhone to help her sync with two computers for some reason.

Basically its imposible to sync with 2 computers..
Almost all apple products is design to sync with ONE computer only..

My advice to you is backup all the files and transfer to the new computer..

Hi shaun5,

I have had similar problems too when I have to sync my iphone with several PCs at work and at home.

There are several applications that you can use solve the problem.

Personally, I use MediaMonkey (google it) to transfer and manage my mp3s. It bypasses itunes.

And for other iphone management, there is an application from China, not the best looking ones and still a lot of issues with language options, but its good enough to get what you want in managing your iphone, the application is called , Iphone PC Suite and you get get the download link from below :

iphone PC Suite

Once you downloaded the application (use the 2.0.7.1 version) and install it, it will then ask for you to update... just keep saying yes to it.

Once all the update is done, you will need to meddle a bit to get the english version running.... not much of an issue, just trials and errors here and there... and waalaa!!! you have a full PC suite for your iphone to manage anything you want...

On the second issue, the third party applications, you need to jailbreak the phone first. Search the threads in this forum on how to do that...

:-)

Best of luck!!
