Effective 1st March 2009, PosLaju fuel surcharge rate will be reduced further from 23% to 20% which comprise of :-

    * 10% fuel surcharge and
    * 10% handling surcharge

The above reduction is in line with the decline in fuel prices as well as the decision made by the Association of Malaysian Express Carriers (AMEC) for its members to reduce the existing fuel surcharge rate to 20% which comprise of 10% fuel surcharge and 10% handling surcharge effective 1st April 2009.

PosLaju is introducing 10% handling surcharge for the handling of courier items such as pick-up, scanning activities, proof of delivery (POD) and tracking services which were previously offered as value added services. We are partially recovering some of these costs through this handling surcharge.

Although many courier companies will start charging this new rate effective 1st April 2009, PosLaju is introducing the rate earlier.
