To all those who are using celcom broadband on Daily Unlimited plan (RM6/day), please stop doing so for the time being.

Yesterday i was using my celcom broadband and activated my daily unlimited by sending broadband daily to 28882 and replying broadband yes to 28882 as usual. Then i went on a steak of MUOnline game. To my suprise, within 2 hours, my line was blocked. I received a message saying that i have exceeded my credit limit and all activities has been barred (my credit limit is RM 500). When i called up online customer service, they told me my bill was around RM800.

This morning i went to celcom service center in Prai to clear things out. Luckily the service center staff who attended me has suffered from the same case as me (only worse with bills up to RM 20k). This saved me a lot of time to explaining my theories on why the bill is so so so high. The staff said that the daily unlimited system is now facing a problem where eventhough the activated sms has been issued to us, we are still unactivated in the celcom system. So we will be charged on pay per use basis (10cents/10kb). This translates to around RM 800.00 bill for every 100 MB data transaction.

Hope that others would not face similar problems as myself.

wohoo... my bill now down to RM-445...

anyways it was quite frustrating when the problem happened. It was in the time when i needed internet the most. Just be wary of charges which we all should not be paying. Who knows when we are charged with something we should not be paying.

I noticed the change from RM8 to RM6 on my last bill before I upgraded to D68 package. There was no problem then. So I guess this is recently.

yes. it started around 25th february until around 2nd of march. before that it was working fine. The wierdest thing is that the RM250 limit did not trigger and allowed the bill to go up to the telephone bill's credit limit.
