Guys..

My gf has got herself a nice set of Wii and a 40' panasonic TX-37LZ80

she also got herself a component cable for her console... problem is, when she used the cable, the picture that came out is WORST than the picture when she uses the normal composite cable... sweat.gif

is there actually a setting to set to? She's already set the Wii's setting to "HDTV"

I've read some articles and it says that the cable was suppose to make the picture quality BETTER... rclxub.gif

much appreciated guys...

got some picture from her..

this one uses component cable :

That cable you have is faulty I reckon, third party one assume.
You can try plugging it in to different component port, could be faulty port on your TV.
Even with EDTV settings off, it wont give you that kind of image.

off topic a little,
what channel is the three "person" below the photo channel of yours?

haha, just wondering...XD

on component cables, well, you aren't the only person with problems with them...how to solve them, i really have no idea...

Hi on the same topic, how much does the original Nintendo component cable cost?
A bit wary of these Pasar Road 3rd party knock offs.....

Yah, but problem is the Wii cannot do HDMI (doesn't have the required hardware and connectors).

Eh, the hardware & games only go up to 480p anyway, so a HDMI connection is pointless. Even with the existing component you can already see super jagged edges when viewing up close.
