QUOTE(D.Sync @ May 18 2009, 12:26 AM) I just received my H233H yesterday and I'm having much fun with it. Pairing it up with PS3 and it's 'brother' Acer 5920G notebook looks perfect! how much u bought?Added on May 18, 2009, 1:10 am QUOTE(deathninjax @ May 18 2009, 12:21 AM) bought Samsung SyncMaster 2494HS 24" Full HD lcd monitor yesterday. Very happy with the picture quality and the build quality. The frame is matte black with glossy plastic on the top, side and bottom part with touch panel. Dynamic contrast is 50000:1. was thinking to buy Dell S2409W but seeing the dim display at max brightness, opt for samsung instead. Bought at 4th floor thundermatch LYP. the attendant said the S2409W display set was used for 1 month and it dimmed in that period. it was very nice in the beginning but deteriorate rapidly. the samsung 2494HS still look bright and nice. The color, sharpness and brightness beats s2409w easily. the color is vibrant and deep. can see all the details in the games easily. have to see it to believe it.the main menu in RE5 looks extremely nice. the fonts are sharp and the contrast and color is very nice. i bought it for RM895. worth it as it is only a bit more expensive than S2409W but the quality is much more better. wah, r u sure, bro? this is the 1st reli big con wif the Dell S2409W! anybody else oso face the same prob? QUOTE(JasonJenn @ May 18 2009, 12:57 PM) I'm looking to buy Dell2408WFP.. can't seem to find it on Dell Malaysia Website.. any idea where can i purchase it? also how much it the current price? got, u just go to SMALL & MEDIUM BUSINESS , instead of HOME & HOME OFFICE. & search in the 24-30". there u can find ur desired model oredi.Added on May 18, 2009, 3:53 pm QUOTE(deathninjax @ May 18 2009, 12:56 PM) The display set is switched on for long periods of time. very fast can see the dimming. if use sparingly, of course will take a long time. my friend told me samsung is famous for its lcd monitors. he had one bought and used for 4 years already still working. it's a RM13++ 15". now i trust samsung. b4 this i was sceptical of samsung monitor's quality. i used benq E2400HD previously. somehow i prefer it. dell s2409w is reli that terrible, i also notice the dimming. but r u sure that it's a fauty lcd , not becoz of adjustments?but it doesn't have hdmi input and not 16:9. not nice for ps3 and xbox 360 gaming, at least for me. no, dell dun perform better, the price compromised the features & the 1000:1 is lousy when compared to its counterparts from different brands like BenQ & Samsung & even Acer.
I'm a satisfied user of Acer H2333H. Bought it at just rm 650 Choose wisely, dun get blinded by the price only. |

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ May 23 2009, 11:20 PM) I beg to differ. yes, u r very rite about how monitor wont break down that easily unless accident happens. That place is no service center. It's kinda like HQ for IT support or something. As to Dell monitor warranty, it's 1-1 NBD exchange, nobody is going to go your house and fix it. Dell's support is good, in fact, I think it's the best in Malaysia, but in terms of monitor, I don't think you should make it a top priority. Monitors don't break easily (lemon excluded), so it's better to get good and cheap rather than just a support that, a high possibility that you wont need at all. but for dell lcd screen, they wont all the time exchange a new screen for u, it's just not practical financially. top priority shud b made whether ur own requirements at present or in near future, which around 2-3 years time if u r not an avid trader on LYN for example, u dun need HDMI fx if u r just a normal computer user who plays games that aren't require very high-end technologies. HDMI is great but i regard it as a small bonus when choosing a lcd monitor to replace my spoilt laptop screen. I bought Acer H233H because I think it's cheap & the specs reli suits me, the most, functionality & economically. Reli have to c ur financial status as well, dun simply opt for too high end one which will one day replace by other tech & hence the price will drop like mad, i.e. the up-coming trend , LED monitor. Think wisely! |

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ May 24 2009, 12:41 AM) I have experience with Dell LCD's befoe. The particular problem was (Dell 196FP or something like that, old model) red lines appearing on the screen. Seems to be standard problem with the particular model. 3 times, NBD exchange, no issues. The 3rd time, I got upgraded to an ultrasharp version, nothing happened after that. That model was a lemon, not a representation of LCDs as a whole. yes, i've never bought any dell monitor b4. Sorry, U sound offended. Dell, I'm sorry, u've always been a great brand. All due respect, from your posts, I could easily tell you never encounter dell support, in terms of monitors before. Advice: stick with what you know, instead of generalizing, or, for a lack of a better term, make false claims, in this case, your comment on Dell Monitor warranty support. I hearby clarify all my views are not false claims to ruin Dell Monitor warranty support. I'm just a normal consumer who made a line or 2 abt common sense of business, which obviously wrong in this context. But I got Dell laptop b4. Their service b4 warranty void is superb but when it voids, troubles came. I've made several calls & yet they seems to forgot my calls, I begged them to help me fix my com because at my study place there none computer shops willing to fix "complicated" Dell laptop. Until I sternly complain the customer service ppl only I received my reply from the technician. I was reli helpless tat time because I reli need my computer to do lots of assignments & reports. I'm just voicing out my opinion , based on a bad experience with expired warranty Dell laptop service, some posts on LYN which the Dell guy came to fix for their lcd monitors & close friends of mine which got rather noobies to come "fix" the problems with Dell laptop. I duno ur lcd spoilt tat many times though. I tot dell service is same for all their products, isnt it? I duno, have been using ordinary consumer common sense as well. p/s: I'm lousy at english, sorry for anyone offended. This post has been edited by jackorock: May 24 2009, 08:11 AM |
