hello, i'm lookin for a lcd monitor. currently i spotted Dell S1909W 18.5" Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor - RM359.

is it worth to buy? any alternative recommendation around this budget??
*
Why go for 18.5" when you can get 24" with additional RM250-300? smile.gif
But if you insist, I still won't recommend 19", go for at least 22" lor...hehehe...

Which one do u guys recommend?
DELL S2409W  only 1920x1080!!
Samsung 2433BW No HDMI!
Samsung T240
BenQ V2400W  2ms!!

i suppose most of u will recommend 2409w bcoz of the bang for the buck.. but if price isnt an issue do u guys recommend any other of these?
n oh yes, purpose of the monitor is alot of gaming, so i guess dont want ghosting or sort, and a little hd movies

*typo*
*
Gaming and MOvies only? go for Dell la bro of coz rclxms.gif
I personally ok with T240, but it's very stiff and a bit expensive, hehe...

22 for a 24 inci screen protector ...okie la.(for me)

btw, u guys did call to dell to check S2409 warranty?
*
Ok then, i'll write it here once I got it smile.gif
Warranty wise, yeah, I've checked.. My S2409W purchased by a company, so I can't change the warranty's name. So if there's anything want to claim, or check, must provide the company name and the numbers. (Don't throw the box's sticker away)

Bro axbx , sorry cause me is a monitor noob
You using S2409w now ?
cause i will connect to My xbox also , are u try it before ?
for xbox using Hdmi
so far i read the thread before got very good rating and good response
*
I don't play console game on my S2409W(the only game is PS2's PES played at TV laugh.gif)

Several ppl in this thread play game with it, and feel ok.
Few ppl also concern about the "ms" thing, for games, afraid of ghosting and stuff.
Don't bother too much la, our human eyes will not able to see the 2-3ms difference, unless you are Superman or Hiro shocking.gif
So IMO, don't worry 'bout it.. It's HDMI, 24" and it's cheap..!! think can't complain much biggrin.gif

Dell doesn't sell to shops; if you really want "100% guarantee" then buy from Dell la, tongue.gif

QUOTE(stormaker @ Mar 20 2009, 08:16 AM)
if u're refering to Dell S2409W, yes u can get the sound through HDMI from "Audio Out" on the monitor, n should be no audio fade in problem like before.
