HDMI is just a cable that consist all in one video + audio, not like DVI or others. it just a new technology which comprises all data into one cable. the video rendered is all the same (trust me). so the goodness it the cable itself.
*
exactly
so ppl with proper speaker/headphone shuldn't really worry about monitor having no speaker
or afraid of unutilising "goodness" of HDMI

i got some question about my LCD, its only minor problem, so i use this thread instead of creating new one.
i'm using ATI Gecube 3870 X-turbo III,updated to the latest driver in AMD game website.
OS: Vista

here's my problem, when i'm using 19inch lcd, i can play all game without any problem.
however, when i switch to 21.5inch lcd, my lcd keeps poping up "not optimum resolution, optimum resolution:1920x1080" when i run dota/warcraft. in other game like DMC 4, RA3, undercover, got no problem at all.

19inch lcd is LG brand, now is Samsung. do anyone face the same problem?any solution?
i already tried to tweak with the CCC, but end up no result at all.
*
not sure but try
warcraft own reso very low wan wor
try playing in windows mode
im sure it wont appear in windows mode

if dota, so big screen, how u gonna roll ur mouse

i'm having hard time understanding what you trying to say.
not sure but try, try what?
windows mode meaning what?
i have no problem playing dota using mouse.
i'm planning getting 24inch next few month.
21.5inch  is not enuf for me.
*
sweat.gif
im not saying u have a problem playing with a mouse
and windows mode simply means windows mode.....
and im not saying 21.5 inch is a very big screen

u wanna digest info, or feel offended?

Whats the diff between Samsung 2433BW vs T240?
The obvious differences are the missing HDMI port and the USB hub, but does this actually make the price double?
I heard the touch of color series has beter color reproduction compared to BW series, is this true?
*
2433BW is discontinued or being discontinue
I got the T240, also heard the color is better despite the same panel rclxub.gif

for PC, the HDMI out doesnt really serve a purpose
not using the USB port

not having the 2433 to compare....

1920X1080 = 16:9 i like 16:9 so i dont want 16:10
but can found Dell S2409W 24 but problem about Connectivity HDMI,DVI,VGA not enough
but Dell 3008WFP UltraSharp 30" WideScreen Flat Panel Monitor Connectivity HDMI,DVI,VGA,S-Video,Composite Video,Component Video, that is enough
Dell 3008WFP UltraSharp 30" WideScreen that monitor is 16:10 i dont like 16:10
coz i looking 16:9 i like FULL HD 1080p
any got brand explan samsung 24 inch widerscreen with 16:9 Full HD 1080p connection port HDMI,DVI,VGA,S-Video,Composite Video,Component Video, can be found ????
or connection port HDMI,DVI,VGA,Composite Video,Component Video can be found ????
*
the 30" Dell is fully capable of the "full HD 1080p". more than capable
just becoz a monitor is not 16:9 doesnt mean it cant support or give a "true/full" HD

the price difference between this two is HUGE
y not compare almost similar price range?

I think @logi85 is saying if 16:10 he will get black bars when watching the normal 16:9 full HD movies? tts y he doesn't like it?
*
he mentioned coz "he looking 16:9 he like FULL HD 1080p"

black bar is not a bad thing, the monitor frame is black anyway.
and u'll be seeing a real full HD

+ no oddly strecthed images/fonts on normal applications

I wonder what's wrong with 16:10, not the black bar thing again I hope.
Anyway with all those connectivity you have to be prepare to pay more, I suggest you look at Dell UltraSharp™ 2408WFP instead, it has the same connectivity as Dell 3008WFP UltraSharp 30". Price is Rm1955 at the moment, look for it at Dell website under SMALL & MEDIUM BUSINESS

thats a very very good price for a 30 inch IPS/PVA panel!!

Anyway mayB you didn't notice.

Mr logit85 also wanted almost all kind of port on lcd. HDMI, DVI, VGA, etc etc etc...
Mr logit85 is not interest on lcd TV from his reply on other thread.

I have no idea how to help.
Btw what Mr logit85 actually want this kind of lcd. hmm.gif  Connecting all kind of media player to one lcd? why don't just buy it separate? 3 LCD?(Edit: Just notice Mr LeechFever also giving same kind of suggestion on his other thread cool2.gif ) and  converter also got at market. Can simply change any cable to connect to lcd as u like.
*
maybe he got a Pentium 2 with a built in gc mobo, require composite
and also an i7 with HD 4980, require DVI
not forgetting the PS3 below the table, require HDMI
then the DVD player etc etc

all this inside his workstation
now left is the monitor to sit there

so many spams on him sweat.gif

hw abt T240? but deres a 16:10 wit full HD for RM2k+ i think..16:10 = u like black bars + rich, unless low end nt full HD model..16:9 full hd
*
16:9 is "full" HD huh?
all other formats not "full"? please clarify

im using 16:10
black bars are sumthing that will ALWAYS be there even if u use 16:9. so if u use 16:9, means u like black bars?

QUOTE(fastandfurious @ Apr 26 2009, 03:09 AM)
hmm bro are u certain that T240 is good for gaming? I saw somewhere on the web they say its not good for gaming - cnet. 16:10 <-- i like black bars? Meaning 16:10 can view anything that 16:9 can view but 16:9 cant view anything that 16:10 can view?  shakehead.gif

Edited  : Btw, I found myself in between samsung t240, DELL 2408wfp A01 & benq g2400wd.. anyone having either/both of these can please tell me your experience with gaming and movies? Thanks..
*
im using the T240
using it for gaming most of the time. no problem there.
no eyesore from morning till the next dawn. tired, but not eye pain from monitor
no bleeding from all corners
backlight is at optimum level, not too bright

reflection from the screen corners can be distracting though. coz its glossy
not sure if other glossy LCD have this problem. but its me being sensitive visually

bro I read that t240 does not have support for 1:1 pixel mapping but I don't play XBOX or PS3 (people have said that images will stretch to 1920x1200 no matter what you prefer). Does this really affect the ordinary PC gamers like me? O_o . Btw, why is it so much more expensive than the BenQ lol. Specs on the papers seems the same
*
im not playing XboX or PS3 too
even in the future if I buy a console, I dont think it will be sharing the same monitor (problem solved)
So it dont really affect PC gamers like us

T240 is even more expensive than the same paper-spec of its old brother
beats me rclxub.gif
