Heh, just updated to the 24" club from my old viewsonic 20" and all i can say is...
the Dell 2408WFP RAWKS! Still bloody expensive but it seemed to me the only one with all the interconnects. The HDMI-in and the audio HDMI-out is great for my xbox 360. Working on getting my retro consoles - gamecube, xbox, dreamcast connected.
For pc use - movies, i suppose the extra 4" makes a difference, but the difference is really big when i try reading downloaded comics in full page mode.
Even though you can now get a 24" for less than RM700, the 2408wfp is damned worth it for me at least.

QUOTE(Demon_Eyes_Kyo @ May 7 2009, 09:40 AM) Any downsides getting the monitor with 1920x1080 or the 1920x1200? Can games scale to 1920x1080, as I see earlier monitors tend to support 1920x1200? Doesn't really effect pc games or movies because the pictures should scale, but consoles with HD output will only go as far 1080 so console games will be stretched.

QUOTE(zxmn @ May 7 2009, 09:57 PM) unless the monitor got 1:1 pixel mapping feature. ^^, Using dell2408wfp so it's got everything, it's just that when i hook up my xbox360, i like to sit further back and the picture is too small then when i use the correct aspect ratio.

QUOTE(zxmn @ May 8 2009, 11:22 AM) basically the monitor has 1:1 mapping.. just that he prefers to have it stretched to full. For some games i set it at the correct aspect ratio because you are right, it really does annoy big time. But for something like guitar hero where you need to stand up, i prefer to stand further away and when i do that the picture is too small At the correct aspect ratio though, for things requiring precision like fps and racers, i have to sit in front of the monitor/pc instead of lying in bed with my x360 controller. edit: imho 24" is too small for "comfortable" console gaming - for me at least even if it's a nice bonus to plug in my console to my pc monitor.
