currently i am thinking to buy a new 23/24" lcd , which of the following is the best factoring warranty, picture quality, reliability, service etc..i will be mainly using it for gaming , movie watching , picture viewing but almost none photo editing /printing....budget would be below RM 700 but hope to go as low as possible

viewsonic vx2433wm (heard it drop to 699 now..near dell price range.)
dell s2409
samsung 2333sw.

what other good option i missed?
beside what is the cheapest gc i should aim for to play game on 1900x1080?

viewsonic vx2433wm beat samsung 2333sw outright? considering extra .6 inch in size and 2ms . how about durability issue?

from the spec p2350 seem better than t220 and 2333sw. anyone have used the lcd? think gonna buy sooon unless 2494hs can drop near rm 700. any other good suggestion around rm700?

why samsung p2350 isnt listed on malaysia samsung site but it listed in australia and china site? any extra difficulty in rma?

any chance 24' or 23' inch lcd like 2494hs or p2350 will drop price within few weeks?

From my recent googling, i found the following:

1) P2370 is using special screen material ( refer to china local samsung website) else it will be the same spec as P2350. It has same viewing dimension as 2333sw. Its design is outstanding. It lack vesa mount

2) 2494HS is 0.6 inch bigger (minimum 6cm higher and 12cm longer than P2370). Other plus is that this lcd got hdmi. I am not sure whether it come with free hdmi cable but i doubt so. One catch is that it used Chimei panel according to some chinese forum but i think it is reliable info. Some ppl reported issues with the hdmi port on ps3. Some ppl said it can be used on 120hz setting.

Both 1) and 2) are similar in price point. Go for P2370 if u willing to trade design&quality for extra 0.6 inch. Both of them are better spec/space than 2333sw.

3) Acer H233H. For me, its exterior design is on par with 2333sw. It has price tag below RM700 and come with free hdmi cable. The glossy screen type ( not sure if there is really two type in market) really made movie look goods if u can negate the reflection. However, ppl negative impression about acer brand and service still made me worry abit about post-purchase trouble.hehe

what u mean by display better graphic? only apply to still image or movie? u sure the setting are around the same? coz from spec, 2333sw seem to have the lowest contrast ratio (if those ratio really mean a thing ;p)..P2370 didnt shine? it seem to have the best screen material..

to bad from my town, i couldnt find dealer that display all of them side by side..

btw, does 2494HS come with a free hdmi cable?

how come when tried to key in coupon code, the price still RM1099. no discount..?

I am thinking to buy H233H that shipped with 3 signal cable but i read that acer H233H seem to have weak black(grayscale). Is it noticeable for normal usage? during game? movie? browsing? If its color is as vivid as samsung 2333sw (or no noticeable degration) then i can buy the acer with peace in mind.

Hope can get some advise from ppl who actually compared it side by side. Buying soon.

Just bought the H2333H. Amazed by the color and the glossy screen. This lcd provided better viewing experience than the T220/2233sw/viewsonic va2226. It show no sign of color degradation even compared to crt(at least for me). Strongly adviced your guy to get it if u want budget big screen with hdmi (cable ;p) and around RM600+ price point.

hmm..display price is around RM670+ currently. But i manage to get some special discount at one of the major retailer shop in kota kinabalu. With RM670 i think the comparison still valid for reference purpose.

You are right that is is DAMN heavy. My hand felt exhausted just carrying it from outlet to carpark.hehe

P2350 was actually top of my purchase list ranked before H233H after reading some online info and the exterior look. I actually willing to pay more for it knowing that it offer less feature/freebie. However, i think H233H have upper hand for ppl with low budget. The samsung model that matched its with similar connection is 2494Hs but with extra RM200. Reflection can always be counter with good repositioning. The glossy screen made it like a plasma for RM600. hehe..

One weakness so far could be the viewing angle seem restricting. You have to really tested it out to see what is your tolerable limit. When turn on ACM, the white was alsmot blinding.

One weird thing i found out that..my model is H233H Cbmid. not much info on the google except some chinese irrelavant link.

From the net, i think samsung 2494hs use chimei panel. and most 23' panel are either samsung or lg. What is the dead pixel policy for acer?

I hope to get more information about dead pixel. My H233H seem to have lot of strange pixel.

On white/green/yellow background i saw some dot with light red or light green color. There is other type of pixel more bright then the surrounding.(e.g Ultra green near transparent when in green background.sometime u shift your head left-right a bit u notice it changed color slightly). Are those pixel allowed to claim warranty?

if count all the above i think it got like 10+ pixel...is it reasonable to claim for exchange? anymore detail about Acer policy?

If u on budget, h222h is way to go as it included hdmi cable. Size is good , color is superb for gaming movie(not for graphic desing). Just take note if u can tolerate the viewing angle(slight color shift). If the screen is mostly for your personal direct viewing than that is not a issue.

i check the warranty book. pixel policy is 4 dead pixel+1 in centre if not wrong and must carry-in

hmm..430 for 2494hs isnt it more expensive than malaysia?
