why TN panel is not good ?
if compare to a crt, TN panel LCD lose ? o_o

TN panel just loose in color reproduction and view angles, but there are cheap and offer execellent response time. CRT monitor also have high end and low end, if compare with low end CRT monitor (my 6 years old Samsung CRT monitor) i see no much different.

Halo peeps, I need some suggestions.
Budget below RM1k, looking for 24" monitor with HDMI.
Was aiming at Samsung T240 but more than 1k so its over budget, any other models from Samsung 24" with HDMI?
I don't mind getting Asus as a sub for Samsung if the price is reasonable for a 24" with HDMI. I just want a normal LCD monitor, don't need speakers and webcam on it.
Thanks in advance for the suggestions.
Cheers smile.gif

If you stay at KL, take a look on AOC 2434pw at Plaza Lowyat.

i also confuse to choose which 24" lcd..is it useful for HDMI? and how the feedback for AOC? good or not?

HDMI = DVI + digital audio
I guess HDMI not really useful if your monitor doesn't have speaker, somemore most of us ady have a dedicated speaker sweat.gif

any one aiming for large  monitors i recommend the 320mx by samsung... the new 2494HS also not bad with reasonable price.. i also looking for monitor but dunno wat to get..currentlyon my mind are the  T240 , 2494HS and 320MX.. dunno which is better.. budget should not be a problem=) any advice?
*
I think 320mx was not a monitor, it was a LFD. Lower resolution & higher response time compare to T240 and 2494. If budget isn't a problem, try take a look on LED LCD TV drool.gif

If you're looking for full HD monitor, I advice you take away 21.x inch monitor from your list.

I guess it is hard to judge many monitor at once, since all the monitor were connect to a Video Demultiplizer. All monitor were using same resolution & any display setting in Windows.

"DVI-I" stands for "DVI-Integrated" and supports both digital and analog transfers, so it works with both digital and analog Visual Display Units. "DVI-D" stands for "DVI-Digital" and supports digital transfers only.

Unlike HDMI, DVI usually carries no audio data. However, it is possible for a DVI port to transmit audio data to a HDMI connection if a DVI to HDMI cable is used; this feature allows high-end computer graphics cards[1] to send audiovisual data to a high definition television.
