I got myself the AOC from LowYat. I think if the concern is size then this AOC is not a bad choice, With two option for connections, namely HDMI and analogue vga. Price is below RM700.
As for the speaker I am of the opinion that monitor is for displaying purposes and it is not necessary come with very good speaker. After all most of us would have our own external speaker.
I like the Touch Key menu below the monitor. It makes the monitor neat and clean without a normal button. And I was very surprised to find out that the button activated even before my finger touch the key. It is a motion dectector. The highest resolution is 1920 x 1080.
Playing game very good, I would say. I am not a regular gamer but I do play occassionally. I played old game like Need for Speed Carbon and Underground 2. I have a very simple system. I am using the ASUS N10JC Netbook. So, cannot see the HD Movie quality.
Overall, I would say the monitor is a good choice.
Hi you have asus n10jc right it has 9300m gs and hdmi man so it can play 1080p videos smoothly man. can you connect to your Aoc 24 inch montior by hdmi cable please as it also has hd mi port. then you can play full 1080p in your monitor using your netbook over hdmi. plz do it i want to see how it looks. also if possible do a youtube video or post screenshots and pictures here. TQ

yes, u r very rite about how monitor wont break down that easily unless accident happens.
but for dell lcd screen, they wont all the time exchange a new screen for u, it's just not practical financially.
top priority shud b made whether ur own requirements at present or in near future, which around 2-3 years time if u r not an avid trader on LYN
for example, u dun need HDMI fx if u r just a normal computer user who plays games that aren't require very high-end technologies. HDMI is great but i regard it as a small bonus when choosing a lcd monitor to replace my spoilt laptop screen.
I bought Acer H233H because I think it's cheap & the specs reli suits me, the most, functionality & economically.
Reli have to c ur financial status as well, dun simply opt for too high end one which will one day replace by other tech & hence the price will drop like mad, i.e. the up-coming trend , LED monitor.
Think wisely!

I really dont like LED monitors i dunno why. it looks so thin and feels breakable not sturdy looking. Leds are beginning to come but i still prefer lcds.
If Leds comes and 26 inch lcds gets really cheap like HP w2558hc, T260, and Vw266h I am really one of them. HP 2558hc is my dream monitor.
