I got myself the AOC from LowYat. I think if the concern is size then this AOC is not a bad choice, With two option for connections, namely HDMI and analogue vga. Price is below RM700.
As for the speaker I am of the opinion that monitor is for displaying purposes and it is not necessary come with very good speaker. After all most of us would have our own external speaker.

I like the Touch Key menu below the monitor. It makes the monitor neat and clean without a normal button. And I was very surprised to find out that the button activated even before my finger touch the key. It is a motion dectector. The highest resolution is 1920 x 1080.

Playing game very good, I would say. I am not a regular gamer but I do play occassionally. I played old game like Need for Speed Carbon and Underground 2. I have a very simple system. I am using the ASUS N10JC Netbook. So, cannot see the HD Movie quality.

Overall, I would say the monitor is a good choice.

Hi you have asus n10jc right it has 9300m gs and hdmi man so it can play 1080p videos smoothly man. can you connect to your Aoc 24 inch montior by hdmi cable please as it also has hd mi port. then you can play full 1080p in your monitor using your netbook over hdmi. plz do it i want to see how it looks. also if possible do a youtube video or post screenshots and pictures here. TQ

when T260 arrives here maybe it will get cheaper just like the old days with 226BW...beginning was priced around 13xx until the price drop tremendously when the 2232 series arrives rclxms.gif

When and where did you heard T260 coming?? is it official or rumour? is it really coming?? please tell me i really like t260. T260 hd launched in Singapore in March.

yes, u r very rite about how monitor wont break down that easily unless accident happens.

but for dell lcd screen, they wont all the time exchange a new screen for u, it's just not practical financially.

top priority shud b made whether ur own requirements at present or in near future, which around 2-3 years time if u r not an avid trader on LYN

for example, u dun need HDMI fx if u r just a normal computer user who plays games that aren't require very high-end technologies. HDMI is great but i regard it as a small bonus when choosing a lcd monitor to replace my spoilt laptop screen.

I bought Acer H233H because I think it's cheap & the specs reli suits me, the most, functionality & economically.

Reli have to c ur financial status as well, dun simply opt for too high end one which will one day replace by other tech & hence the price will drop like mad, i.e. the up-coming trend , LED monitor.

Think wisely! smile.gif

I really dont like LED monitors i dunno why. it looks so thin and feels breakable not sturdy looking. Leds are beginning to come but i still prefer lcds.
If Leds comes and 26 inch lcds gets really cheap like HP w2558hc, T260, and Vw266h I am really one of them. HP 2558hc is my dream monitor.

even a hd 4650 gddr3 rm 210 is good for playing blu ray moviees and 1080p files like mkv wmv mov etc in 24 inch to 30 inch monitormy coussin had viewsonic 28 inch with that card he only used for hd movies
if you want to game at 1080p then gtx 275 is best or at least gtx 260
for movies only get hd 4650 rm 210 only from rockrock

today i went to sunway pyramid saw the h2333h in action it was playing final fantasy 13 trailer and the color clarity and sharpness was really good i really liked it my eyes liked it. but before i saw in another shop a asus vk266h it was really big and my eyes got spoilt so after when i saw h233h it seemed so small the monitor size that it created a mental barrier haiz..

also i want some opinions from you guys if i order t260 from amazon.com import the total cost including shipping cost is between RM 1500 to 1600 and asus vk266h is rm 1399 so is t260 worth extra rm 100~200?

what do you guys think let me know

eh bro sorry arh.... I found out it's 568 at PCthemes in sin lim square.... donno if typo or what...

cheapest way= tigerways or jetstar...
i think the only way to evade the tax is to open the whole thing up... and bring back as used unit?

oOH ya... go to hardwarezone SG and sign up... then u can download pricelists of SG shops
*
well i saw many pricelists and its sgd 698??

if i import from us amazon.com the price is rm 1650~

and sg is selling t260hd not t260, t260hd is actually a tv too so might get taxed?? in msia??

i really hope its sgd 630 or in near months below sgd 600 then its easy for wallet hehe

well t240hd and t260hd not worth because they have 10,000:1 dcr whereas t240 and t260 has 20,0001 dcr also it does nt have hdtv tuner only sd tuner
and why watch astro with it? its ridiculous

true that they have 2 hdmi ports and component port but component doesnt matter to me and exlink, service port also no use optical audio also no use.

i can get hdmi switch to increase hdmi port and singapore has t260hd only no t260 haiz

when is next pc fair in MSIA any chance t260 might come? coz all hardware prices are cheaper in MSIA then SG as t260hd already SGD 560 there which RM 1375~~ so t260 will be more cheaper here and also its been like more than 3 months since any new lcd models came in MSIAN IT market.

actually if go to all it you will see the picture quality in dell/hp/aoc are same they were playing 720p transformers there but i still dont like aoc because of branding on default settings their color clarity/hue/saturation/brightness was really good.

asus vh242h rm 789, samsung 2494hs/p2350/p2370/2333sw all of them looked dark and less bright in default settings but you can change the settings no biggy.

acer h233h and p205 their colours were really sharp and glowing they were playing final fantasy 13 trailer and it really looked very sharp and 3d to me. I really liked it.

But i really hope acer does 24 inch or bigger for these models.

of all the models i think another important thing to check is backlight bleed in the dark but no way to do that in lyp. because it should be turn the monitor on in black screen in the dark room.

also for brightness i think pixel pitch and nits matter. the bigger the better for mits around 300 to 400 nits will give very good display, clarity and brightness.
