I hear about Samsung is LCD No1 best buying product now
I hear about HP LCD provide Sharp image due to his gloss screen.
I hear about BenQ also a good choice because cheap+ HDMI port.
I hear about viewsonic....
I hear about Acer....

How orh...? overall is on you >.<
Viewsonic good? yup it is good. DCR high, cheap, 2ms cool.

Some of user want HDMI port because they need PS3 to connect to LCD via HDMI cable. Then another port like VGA or DVI connect to PC.

Monitor setting. Difference brand might difference setting.
If you are using samsung, I can tell you DCR location at MagicBright there.

Well i agree with Mr kaiserreich, DCR hurts my eyes. really painful.

Then ur monitor setting Image size set to "wide"

Haha Kuching here almost all about samsung LCD only. Other brand hard to find from shop. need ask staff about price and carry in.
