Consider that it's only 1.5W, you can't really expect it to pump more juice could you? VGA/DVI doesn't carry audio signal, only HDMI does. Come to think of it, why would they setup an audio input port instead of output? I just don't see the point of it...

you said you not satisfy with the colours, what do you mean bro?  rclxms.gif

If you've seen what an IPS panel can offer, then you'll know what I mean. haha.. iMac's display for example.

QUOTE(D.Sync @ May 3 2009, 11:46 AM)
Most people prefer 16:9 aspect ratio for HD movie and console (PS3/XBox 360). With it, you won't see any black bars, provided that the movie is in its 1080p resolution (1920x1080).

i read that it's cheaper to make also.

QUOTE
Color? Would you mind compare it with your 5920G? Which one is better?

maybe i'm used to my laptop's colour.. which is more natural to me.. or maybe due to the not so good grayscale performance

QUOTE(D.Sync @ May 3 2009, 01:26 PM)
Here's  a good review I found for H233H bmid. It seems that the cons is poor grayscale performance, which I didn't quite understand well.
*
Probably that's why I mentioned in my my previous post, the grey looks a bit.. weird. Greyscale performance, if i'm not wrong, is the levels/depths shades of grey..

EDIT: i actually agree with the review. nod.gif

you actually reminded me about the nvidia cpanel. haha.. the monitor itself i tried adjusting already.. but forgot that i can try adjusting from the nvidia cpanel. sweat.gif

hmm. i think it looks better now.. nvidia's setting: brightness 50% > 65% .. contrast 50% > 25%..

EDIT: needa play with the settings more.. lol.. too bright for my background now.. in windows seem fine.
EDIT 2: bah. not really expert in doing all the colours adjustment. set back to normal.. ^^"

What if I'm using HDMI cable, what will that be? I would prefer it to have an output port whereby the sound will be 'redirected' from PS3 > LCD, then LCD > external sound system.

Added on May 3, 2009, 4:29 pmBTW, is the gray issue serious? Will it affect gaming or picture images?

that would be quite too redundant to have an audio-out on a monitor just because of the input audio from HDMI.

well, the solution is to set from ps3, output sound through other sources other than HDMI. haha.. i know it's simpler to ps3>lcd>speaker right away.. but it's not built for this purpose.. wanna play budget, gotta compromise something.

ps3>hdmi>lcd - video
ps3>av>speakers (y-connecter if needed) - audio

i watched videos with it, other than being a lil bright.. the grey issue is not an issue here.

FYI, I even tested playing ps2 game, beatmania (or call it o2jam-like-game for those who dunno), using tvbox with this acer monitor.

everything seems fine. the game is still playable, didn't notice lagness in gameplay.

The only issue for S2409W is the audio lag issue, which I don't know how does it occur though, as it doesn't have internal speaker.

BTW nobody using BenQ G2411HD? I couldn't even find a single user review on that one.
