it works.. plugged to monitor - no sound, unplug, laptop come out sound, plug to speaker, speaker got sound.
not sure got conflict from the monitor detecting sound input or not la.. coz i'm using HDMI..
anyway, currently set to 30% brightness, 50% contrast.. colour temp - cool... still not very satisfying (to me. remember, my requirement is different!). but i think i might stick with this for the moment..
and i got 1 dissatisfaction!!! height is not adjustable T.T kinda lower than my head/eye level right now. hmmm... but since other equavalent monitors also don't have the height adjustment.. so.. =/

You'll need to fork out additional money to buy an adjustable stand. Use book to stack it if it's too low.
Didn't the audio jack worked? I wonder will there be any sound via PS3 HDMI input.

Set it back to AV and connect it to my speakers @@

laptop > hdmi > monitor
laptop > set playback through hdmi > monitor got sound
laptop > set playback normal > laptop got sound laptop > set playback normal > plug to speaker > speaker got sound laptop > set playback normal > plug to monitor > monitor no sound
my guess, probably because the hdmi is plugged to the monitor, so the monitor only detect sound input from HDMI.. but I don't really know.
lazy wanna find out, because i'm not bothered with the built-in speaker.

haha.. go sleep then. meanwhile i continue surfing with my new monitor.. about the colours setting.. i guess my expectation is too much for a TN panel monitor.. perhaps the only way to meet my requirement, IPS panel.. lol for a TN panel monitor, i think this monitor is doing quite well. pixel no difference, depending on models. now certain 22/23" monitors got 1920x1080 (16:9) already.
a inch smaller lo.. haha

now most monitors are moving to 16:9.. cheaper to make. like the dell 24" for example.

i think they're only noticeable if you put them side by side.. i wanted a 24" so much before this. but because of budget.. considered for 22.. which is actually 21.5" (benq e2200hd)... in the end bought this acer's h233h.. 23". haha.. satisfied with the size la.. one inch difference, as long as it's full hd. pixel matters more to me.
