Hi all,

Since there are many charity activities going on. Why don't all these meaningful activities list it out. For example ,

March event list => 11/03 going to donation in xyz plaza, location at asd, KL
12/03 giong to visit xxx home, location zxc Puchong.

One more suggestion is
=> all activities can be open to all ppl, for example there is a charity run at bukit jalil at 8am 12/03/09 any one interest and free can join n gather at enterence of Stadium Bukit jalil. who ever want to join can register on that day to relavent authority.
=> the point here is no need to attach to certain community (register and list down ur free time etc.)

all above is just a suggestions and no subject to any party.

thks

Thank you for your constructive suggestions.
All activities will be list down but not at the early stage while everything are not fixed yet. For an example for PJ Caring Home, we did list down as 15/2, getting donation at such timing and at particular locations, and drop off at that timing; 21/2 visit to the home from this time to that time.

Definitely all activities are open to everyone. Here there's no any special community or anything. Even with LYN CF, it's not you have to attach to it. To list down your name and free time so it will be easier for the organizers to look for people when they need any manpower around.

Thank you so much smile.gif

Here, we are ALL attached to LYF CF la... It is more closely knitted and our small contribution can be felt by those in needs and it touches our hearts as well...

Your suggestion is too wide and too loosely define with no coordination whatsoever by anybody...

Just by asking individuals to go to whatever charities that is available and register with whatever authorities for charity is not that effective here in LYF.

And err... you are welcome to join on 28 March to see for yourself the small and meaningful effort being made here in LYF CF...

Thanks Andy, but I can see where is he coming from.
In fact, I need some committed members for LYN CF but I don't require everyone to give me all their free time. Once or twice a month will do. This is why even for LYN CF meeting, I only choose those who are dedicated to it.
I was like that too, just go any authorities and help out but that's on individual, if let say in a group definitely there must be some one to lead the group, else the group will never able to move.

LYN CF here , I'm welcome for more and more charity events even though it's not organize by me, because I understand I won't be able to do this full time yet, or may be when LYN CF is an official registered NGO, then it may be a different case. smile.gif

Well, previous years there are a lot of activities going on in LYN CF here it's just that no one gather all people around to have something different. That's why it's a huge change for some people for this smile.gif

How about setting up a HR system?

Admin/moderators can moderate events (date, time, etc). For each events, list down the manpower / resources needed. The system should be open to public. Whoever interested to get involved may sign up as a contributor then based on the vacant slots available, apply for the "jobs". Admin/moderators then choose to approve or not approve.

Besides, contributor may specify their capabilities such as posses own transport. In the scenario of running low of man power on certain area, admin may send notification to the list of contributors base on the the capabilities, informing them which "position" is vacant. It's up to the contributor to pick up the "job" or not.

The problem I foresee will be the content integrity. It's all depend on how soon can the moderator update the time, slots available, etc.

Just a rough idea for now. As for setting up system wise, I'll take care of development, hosting & part of system administration.
