Wow, it ends at 12? Not very abrupt, imo. Munto ended at 9 which was even more ridiculous. Then again, if it was popular enough and the DVD sales are good (no doubt about that one), I'm sure the 2nd season will come around winter or something.

I have to admit, the production quality in this season was way, way above the first one. I'm genuinely impressed. It's still a substance-free, pointless, otaku-pandering, moeblob show - but damn it looks fantastic.

I think those that really 'oppose' K-on is only because they thought it would be as epic as BECK. I was under the same impression too, thinking it would be a girl band trying to make their way to stardom. Turns out it just a bunch of cute girls looking cute while doing cute things. And making MILLIONS of profit for the IP owners.

Who owns the K-ON franchise anyway?
