Well i din think of doing it juz yet...
Im aware they are nt much of them in the wild as in the past where they are fairly common
But i hope i can contribute in breeding them captively so tat we can have some for the hobbyist as well as releasing them into forest tat are nt prone to development where their habitat will be destroy
The area where we found it are developing rapidly, alot of the forest have been demolish (<-- Is tat the right word lol) so IMHO i think i shld have stabilize a colony of them 1st....

Juz my 2 sense...

QUOTE
Further to the above research Makioka, 1992 managed to show through laboratory raised Liocheles australasiae that virgin females were capable of producing offspring. About 20 eggs began to develop simultaneously in the ovary several days after the final moult to sexual maturity. Juveniles were born about 8 months later. Several days after the first parturition, embryos again occurred in newly growing ovarian diverticula. A third pregnancy followed the second parturition. The ovary in the third pregnancy had newly growing ovarian diverticula, and a number of stalked oocytes of various sizes. These oocytes presumably indicated further repetition of pregnancies. The scorpions in this study could not have been self-fertilising hermaphrodites as no trace of sperm or other male elements were found throughout the reproductive tract. Consequently the females must have conceived without male gametes. It was also found impossible for the young to be produced asexually, as a number of stalked oocytes were present in the ovaries which give rise to the swollen ovarian diverticula.

Couldn't be... Tag said usually if the log are infested heavily with termites there wont be anything else there
Cause the termites release some kind of smelly acid which make them stay away(?)
Dunno la bt it seems true

Im sure they dun bulk up all of the sudden when they are gravid
Mine could be juz gravid for early stage, tats y its still nt fat
Could be juz well fed too, no1 knw, so let the times tell us in the future
Liocheles only have around 20babies so im nt surprise to see them nt as fat as other sp when their gravid
