Hi. I'm currently looking for a new motherboard to replace my current Asus M2N-E sucky mobo.

Please recommend me which motherboard is good for overclocking. My budget is around RM250-350.

My current specs:

AMD Athlon64 X2 5200+ 2.7GHz
6GB of RAM with 2 x 2GB Corsair CM2X2048-6400C5 & 2 x 1GB OCZ2G8001G
2 x 80GB SATA with RAID-0
MSI 9600GT 512MB
CoolerMaster Extreme 460Watt
Creative Audigy SB 2ZS
Samsung DVDRW (IDE)


My requirement for new motherboard
- Able to overclock my 5200+
- Able to do RAID-0/1/0+1/5
- 4 x PCI slots & 1 x PCI-E
- atleast 4-DIMMs for my current RAM module

Maybe you should try raise your budget a little, that will open more board choices to you.
Try look out for AMD 790FX/GX based motherboards.

Btw, 4 pci slots are pretty rare nowadays on AMD. And the at least 4 ram slots doesn't apply because thats the maximum number of ram slots u can have on AMD based boards.

Btw, next time please post this in Hardware Q&A subforum.

1. w/ ya current budget, u can't get d best board out there. biostar 790gx seems to be d only choice.
2. w/ ya current psu, even w/ d best board like a$u$ m3/4a79 u can't bring d best outta ya chip. more juice needed.
3. best oc usually done w/ 2 * 1GB high speed ddr2 (coz they're just good in reachin high freq).
