QUOTE(ndgoh @ Mar 11 2009, 11:17 PM)
I received a notice with deep regrets that meeting on 12/3 will be postponed to next week... Ample time and notice is already given and yet majority are unable to attend. Why? Even if there are 3-4 members attending, I'll still come...

I take this charity thing very very seriously and have made BIG effort to attend 12/3 meeting by canceling or rescheduling my meetings and appointments.

I even take time off (weekends) and went shopping for clothes for the kids with a very happy heart... After buying lots of new clothes I felt so eager and excited for this event. I also thought of buying some sweets and chocolates as well... Well... sigh...

The response in this thread also luke warm and since this is the attitude and "warmth" response from members, I'll just pass on the clothes and the budget for the KFC/wedges to another member to deliver it to the kids la...

With a heavy heart, I wont be attending anymore meetings next week onwards (will be very very busy next week onwards) and I wont be coming on the 28/3 as well coz I need to go back hometown for Cheng Beng...

Please do make a big and kind effort for those kids so that they can have some funs once in a while...

Pls do PM me if there is anymore things I can do for those kids ya...

Cheers...

p/s Pls dont delete this post ya...  tongue.gif

js to make things clear, most of the member do not post here its because to make sure it is clean. v discuss in msn. every1 has their sacrifice for this event, not just you, thx for being there. as for y sherly postponed the meeting, only she n those who cant attend knows.

on the side note, pls, will u guys do some time keeping? i dnt wish to see members being late on that day with excuses. if a simple time keeping is so hard to do well, what else can be done well? there r lots of time b4 the event, dont tell me it's not enough. do planning! when meeting time is set, n location for meet up is set, make sure u gets there in the time specified. if u r not sure about the location, ask at least a day before! if u'll be there late, call! its a simple task to be perform as a human

its a team project, not all handle by 1 person, so pls communicate well. other ppl cant read your mind if u dont speak.

There... see... more response is better ma... make things more exciting! This thread is too dormant leh... I am just too concern that the thread will die off too soon... Can anybody see where we are heading in 1 years time?

I have seen too many efforts that just disappear into the oblivion in just too short a time...

Too few people gotten involve in planning and the heavy burden rested on too few people especially Sherly... The stamina may run out pretty fast too...

Offended? Nah... We're bros...

Come on people... came and bamboo me and say you are committed for a good cause!!!

dude, the thread will not die off like that, she'll keep it updated. u really duno what we do dont u? anyway, this is not the 1st event v do. v dnt really have JUST TOO FEW PEOPLE around. is this the 1st time u join us? like we explained, not to discuss in here is to make it clean, only relevant info will be around, not discussion like this.

n, committed to a good cause doesnt need to shout out. if u wan2 show off, i really wan2 say fukoff

Guess I send the wrong message ya...

I am a strong supporter of Sherly too. Its an incredible work she's doing and an incredible amount of time and effort she's putting in. I use to be an organiser of events too and I know how incredibly tired you can get... So when she told me that she had to call off a meeting because too many people cannot attend I pity her la... That's why, I put in a wake up call le...

I believe Sherly is doing wonderful things so I dont have any problem in supporting her work in whatever ways that I can... I'm not attacking anybody here... Its just that we need to realize if we really want this charity thing to go long term, you need to be dead serious... With Sherly's leadership and experience, we can go far and do our part for the unfortunate.

Retract the words? Nah... Its good for people to read and reflect a bit on how serious they want to do this... for the good of the world... that is...

But then again, who am I to speak like this... Pls do not get offended ya...

i know u r strong supporter for these events, n this isnt the 1st time u join. but somehow, every1 here has sacrifices in some way for the event every time v organize it. anything, discuss in pm, sherly just want the thread to be clean. only those whos interested can signup here or post suggestions. u should know rite?
