I received a notice with deep regrets that meeting on 12/3 will be postponed to next week... Ample time and notice is already given and yet majority are unable to attend. Why? Even if there are 3-4 members attending, I'll still come...

I take this charity thing very very seriously and have made BIG effort to attend 12/3 meeting by canceling or rescheduling my meetings and appointments.

I even take time off (weekends) and went shopping for clothes for the kids with a very happy heart... After buying lots of new clothes I felt so eager and excited for this event. I also thought of buying some sweets and chocolates as well... Well... sigh...

The response in this thread also luke warm and since this is the attitude and "warmth" response from members, I'll just pass on the clothes and the budget for the KFC/wedges to another member to deliver it to the kids la... 

With a heavy heart, I wont be attending anymore meetings next week onwards (will be very very busy next week onwards) and I wont be coming on the 28/3 as well coz I need to go back hometown for Cheng Beng...

Please do make a big and kind effort for those kids so that they can have some funs once in a while...

Pls do PM me if there is anymore things I can do for those kids ya...

I have seen too many efforts that just disappear into the oblivion in just too short a time...

Too few people gotten involve in planning and the heavy burden rested on too few people especially Sherly... The stamina may run out pretty fast too...

I am a strong supporter of Sherly too. Its an incredible work she's doing and an incredible amount of time and effort she's putting in. I use to be an organiser of events too and I know how incredibly tired you can get... So when she told me that she had to call off a meeting because too many people cannot attend I pity her la... That's why, I put in a wake up call le... 

I believe Sherly is doing wonderful things so I dont have any problem in supporting her work in whatever ways that I can... I'm not attacking anybody here... Its just that we need to realize if we really want this charity thing to go long term, you need to be dead serious... With Sherly's leadership and experience, we can go far and do our part for the unfortunate. 

Retract the words? Nah... Its good for people to read and reflect a bit on how serious they want to do this... for the good of the world... that is...

But then again, who am I to speak like this... Pls do not get offended ya...
