Just trying my 1st attempt on OC'ing X3 720 BE on my old Asus M2A-VM mobo tongue.gif . Stressed using IBT...dunno can be accepted or not since i OC'ed only by changing multi with added cpu voltage. Definitely need new AM3 mobo to go higher than this cry.gif

hi....i think its time for me to replace my M2A-VM mobo running X3 720BE with more powerful mobo...d 690G is just too hot when d proc is @ 3.4GHz. but this month budget is really restricted...so got budget rm250-300 only sad.gif im searching for d cheapest mobo that can unlock 4th core....but all of them are > Rm350...except d ECS A780GM-A Ultra (780G + SB750) @ RM265 that support acc...but i need to know if someone here ever used this mobo before and had success in unlocking d 4th core stable...coz i googled but i cant find anything regarding this.

srry ffor the frquent update, but here's another one... this time is on 3 cores though... managed to squeeze 3.5GHz out from it...

guess i'll run the chip @ 3.3GHz 4 cores for 24/7... i dun like the voltage for the highest 2 clock...

i think u should try up ur CPU volt to 1.55V for kamikaze style OC result tongue.gif ...and see if u can go above 3.6GHz stable. this 720 proc is very oc'able...but u need so much juice to make it above 3.4GHz...i can see u have a very good cpu HSF...bun dunno about NB temp tho...

i tried oc my 720 on my M2A-VM mobo...went to 3.8GHz and able to boot to windows...but need to set vcore to 1.55V...tried to stress d proc...but d heat on d 690G chip is just too high...and d vdroop during stress test is also too high on this mobo.
