Hi , didn't see your replies
Yes i am on betaserc now with a higher than normal dosage.
Nope i am not experiencing the other symptoms, have done a hearing test even.
But i have found  a good ENT specialist in KL, whom is actually a "vertigo" specialist and am seeing him now.
PM me if anybody wants info.

Thanks for your replies

My Mom used to suffer from vertigo regularly when I was a kid. Someone asked her to brew Chinese dong kui tau with 2 un-shelled eggs. That cured her vertigo. Girls you could try it, won't cost much but just a bit bitter. I myself took it once when my head was spinning and was cured.

Sorry dear I don't know mandarin. blush.gif

Just go to any Chinese medicine shop and ask for 'dong kui' or 'tong kui'.  What I did was I asked my company's salesman to get the shop to pack it for each day's supply and I dumped it in the slow cooker with 2 eggs, add a bowl of water and drank it when I came home from office.  Was bitter sweat.gif

I used to call in sick when I experienced one of those spinning bouts rclxub.gif  Went for MRI but didn't detect anything.  My Mom then told me about this herb that cured her vertigo; I remember she was occasionally in bed for days.  Had her meals in bed too.  So I tried the brew for a few days and no more spinning and blackouts rclxms.gif

I searched the net for 'dong kui' and found this:-

Hope it helps smile.gif

oops!  should be with shell blush.gif  Amended my post.

No need to boil the eggs; just wash and dump in the slow cooker.  Make sure they are fresh eggs not rotten tongue.gif

You can also eat the eggs if you wish.  I didn't eat them, too filling for me.

Dong guai is not very good for men / people with high blood pressure  ( this one i heard from my mum - my dad cannot take dongguai ) You better check with the sifu who pick the herbs for you.

and theres fake and real dongguai ! becareful ! One adds to the flavour of the soup / cooking and one is for health. - like I said not everyone can take dongguai :S
It's good for females http://www.livestrong.com/article/501414-dong-quai-hormones/ but according to western medicine its also good for males sleep.gif but please do double check with the sifu who takes your medicine , tell him if you have any sickness so that he can fix you the right herb !

Vertigo /ˈvɜː(ɹ)tɨɡo/ (from the Latin vertō "a whirling or spinning movement"[1]) is a subtype of dizziness, where there is a feeling of motion when one is stationary.[2] The symptoms are due to an asymmetric dysfunction of the vestibular system in the inner ear.[2] It is often associated with nausea and vomiting as well as a balance disorder, causing difficulties standing or walking.
I'm studying motion and my boss told me its something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgpnJpgX-Hw dunno whether he's lying or not. but imagine kena vertigo attack like that  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
