yeah, it is the one with hws. but i took of the body armor. because, well.... it looks better this way?

but is strange and stupid that gundam X anime was not popular when it 1st release just becuz it mostly focus on earth rather in space
why fans cant accept something new and get on with it? same goes for the gundam 00 movie where there alot of crticism on its introduction of aliens
the movies is nice but some fan just cant stand the aliens for unknown reason

no, this is not true. its not that fans dont like gundam at earth, even Gundam X fans like me likes The 08th MS Team (my 2nd favorite gundam series)


there are some reasons After War Gundam X was not popular back then:

1. 1990's has too much gundam series & popular mecha series (Nadesico etc)


Too much is not good. Especially it will affect the sales of the entire gundam brand merchandises.

2. (Taken from wiki) According to Japan's Weekly The Television magazine, the series peaked at 6.2% of the viewing audience watching which averaged 4.3% during the first two quarters, about the same as Gundam series from the mid-90s onward. In October 1996, the third quarter was moved from a Friday afternoon 5:00 PM timeslot to a Saturday morning 6:00 AM timeslot, suffering declining ratings.

3. Also, Gundam X was overshadowed by Evangelion during its airtime (1996)

After War Gundam X originally should have 10 more episodes but the production has given order to finish it during around half way of airing. This is why 1/100 HG Gundam Double X has more weapons in the plastic kit but not in the anime. (not to mention rushing ending)


The prove Gundam X has became popular about few years later is the demand of DVD box and its appearance in Super Robot Wars and Another Century's Episode game series. Cant wait to play Super Robot Wars Z 2nd.

Agree with Ultimaweaponx, the declining rates of viewer watching Gundam X is due to the change of timeslot. Not all Gundam fans rejecting new changes. Every Gundam series got new changes eventhough the plot sometimes being recycled again and again. Few examples below

Zeta Gundam-1st Gundam that can transformed into a mobile armor, even some fans 'accused' it for copied from Macross or Transformers.

Victory Gundam-I like this Gundam after Impulse from GSD. The concept is gattai-ing from 3-4 unmanned parts of Gundam with 1 of them is the core fighter.

God Gundam-A differrent concept of Gundam which I assume its still sticked to the real robot themes, but with fighter/martial arts element. Some more people are not fighting for their promise land through war, but through tournament. Kinda reminded me of Red Baron anime at TV2 long time ago.

MS08th Team-So far the best Gundam ever in my life. Like watching a world war movie but add giant robots into it. No superhuman, no magic, no Minosky particles and no lazer gun/rifle. And even I can say that the skill of the Zaku Gouf Custom's pilot is far more better than Char himself.

Gundam Seed-Phase shift and bishies, that all. Oh, and including a pilot who is almost becoming a god.

Gundam 00- Aliens (in the movie)

As long as they have V fin, I like.

correction: RX-79[G] Ez8 & GM Sniper using beam rifles. The Apsalus II & III which also have big-ass beam weapons are floating using minovsky craft technology.


I like Gundam because of at least there is physics eventho sometime its too advance to think of.
but transforming a physical into particles and revert, this is waaayy beyond physics wwwww

and also, alien existence in Gundam should be a no-no.
well, in SRW world it could be interesting tho.
