it's just Safe Mode for iPhone , anyone can do it just click Safe mode by using SBSettings will do

My ipod touch 2nd gen also got this once, when i installed an app from cydia(forgot what app).

da ur iphone becomes sad only when its running low on memory or any of da apps crashed
not to panic or anyting, just press on restart n all shud be ok
if it continue to happen on a regular basis, then u hv 2 worry a little
