it really lock fast nvm it will constantly request data from server. If u have unlimited data plan then only keep this activated

If you keep it on battery will be drained much faster. the phone also heat up more quickly.

I'm asking this question in general.

How does blue tooth able to crop with the bandwidth needs for high quality audio 2 channels (stereo) transfers as well as maintaining the 3rd channel voice transfer ?

Is that means quality of Bluetooth Headsets will be less clear compared with wired?

The version of bluetooth and  the from what i heard ver 3 bluetooth can streaming video.
*
I just checked the specification.
Bluetooth v2 can reach 2.1Mbps. It is already enough for low quality video streaming smile.gif

I tried to transfer files via my lappy... it can reach 120KB/s smile.gif

We can expect to see Bluetooth v3 reach up to 480 Mbit/s rclxms.gif

i dont believe. When i transfer file via bluetooth so slow. My question is it worth to get a bluetooth handset to pair with 5800? if yes which model?

The audio quality produced by 5.8k XM is superb via wired headphone.
I'm using Philips SHE 9500 in-earphone... the audio quality is really thumb up.
It is even better than the audio output by a normal PC sound chip.

I'm not sure about the how is the audio quality via Stereo Bluetooth Headsets, thats why i'm asking the bluetooth question.
But i suppose with 2.1Mbps... we cant really expect much...

no offenses, i had been playing with all range of hifi devices & speakers since i was young particularly influenced by my dad.
from vinyl records players (16 2/3, 33 1/3, 45, 78RPM) to SACD / Audio-DVD..
from tube hifi to digitial hifi...
been listening to all range of music and ... Classical, Jazz, R&B to hip-hop and trance music.

I'm not saying that XM is the best... but definitely beats a lot of so called music phones hand downs.

Well... ipod is not really that good. wink.gif

Maybe a pairing issue? Some IEMs are quite picky about their sources... And the clear as day X3i (for it's price bracket anyway) can and will show clearly imperfections in sound (where percieved or not, everyone hears diffrently, true?) coming from the source... hmm.gif

In other words, maybe the analytical (quoting ClieOS here) sounding X3i is just making the flat (so says the people in Head-Fi) sounding, un-EQed Tubie sound crap flatter then it already is... sweat.gif

Maybe... And until some crazy Audiophile shoves a good (yet easy to drive, some GREAT IEMs are near darned useless on mobiles unamped) Higher Class IEM into the 5800 for some serious auditioning (Westones? UEs? IE8s - or are the IE8s hard to drive?), we'll never really know... biggrin.gif

EVEN THEN, again SQ is highly subjective... What is honey to one guy can be tar to another... BUT, everybody deserves to share their opinions BECAUSE of that... biggrin.gif

I'm still waiting for my "fun" sounding Bijous to come over... Hopefully it would not sound like crap with the 5800 (after some serious burning-in of course, I've heard that it needs what, 300 hours?) to my SE Megabass (muddy as it may be) trained ears... brows.gif

Totally agree with you.
Best earphones doesn't always produce best results on certain devices.
Pairing plays a very important role too.

Just to ask, what cans/plugs are you using on your 5800? Would be good if we can find OK sounding combos for the Tubey... biggrin.gif

Using Philips SHE9500 when out going.
and SHE9850 at home.

I use 9500 more often than 9850.

9850 definitely sounds a lot better than 9500 especially on bass performance but i scare that i accidentally pull out the wires when i was moving my hands. I have an Audio Technica earphone ( cant remember the model already) which cost me around RM150 bought it in HK many years ago... but it sounds like crap so i didn't really use it much.
