afaik there's no app to turn off the sound. i think there's one for s60v3...but not s60v5... so firmware change is the only option now

it lags because i think it has more graphics and u need a 3d chip like on the n82, n95 or n95 8gb for it to run smoothly.

Great work people at Garmin bar none then, only problem is MFM eats our RAM (or CPU cycles) for breakfast and then slows down everything before making GXT hara-kiri itself... sweat.gif

TIP: Set Map Detail to Least --> only 200m and below can see the POIs, works great for areas with CRAPLOADS of POIs... biggrin.gif

I'm currently in SP most of the time, so Less (300m-) works well enough... biggrin.gif

however, i tried 1 thing that just close the garmin automatically on my phone. Set "turn preview to ON", switch to landscape mode and navigate. When u reach a junction where the "turn preview" suppose to display, garmin will close !!! not hang hahaha

u guys try it out and see .. remember, only will happen when turn preview suppose to display, so either u really driving with route or simulating route
