Mang. Mass Effect 2 certainly plays different compared to the original. I kinda miss the days when there were infinite bullets.

Took me like an hour to find out how to download one of them DLC. The ingame menus and manual didn't make it clear.

Oddly, the sun was red if I kept the Collector base. But since I was going for a pure Paragon Soldier Hero Sheppard for ME3, bleh, I blew it up.

Oh, and I hope Ashley comes back for ME3. I skipped the paramour achievement for her. biggrin.gif

haha how to win la if everyone killed tongue.gif

Can. You'll just have to complete the mission with one or no team member survived. laugh.gif (Meaning they die after you kill that human-reaper).

You are again a Spectre but almost nobody mention it or care

I think it was only mentioned once. When you're doing Thane's loyalty mission. Yeah, thats the only time I heard it mentioned. (and I replayed it twice).

The decisions you made in ME1 is more of background stuff, you can hear em on the galactic news and through your email more.

eg. Turians and humans won't be so friendly if you let the Council die.
Certain recurring characters reappear. (lol, they even managed to squeeze in Fist and Helena Blake).

Actually when you think about it, it was actually good of them that they did not shove every reference from ME1 to your face. It's there, but you can ignore it if you wish.

It's just too bad the DLC seems less well-integrated than it seems. Sure you get 2 new characters, but you cannot interact with them much. Firewalker DLC was lol. It's like the Mako missions compressed to 5.

I beg to differ, Garrus has like the most transition in Mass Effect 2.

Back in Mass Effect 1, he was always the whiny C-Sec officer that always whining about this and that, whether shepard done it the correct way or not. Ever since he is in ME2, he is colder, crueler, and less emotional. You can see that in Garrus's loyalty quest. He is awesome.

I do agree the ending is a bit anti climax, but, at least Bioware manage to pull in a convincing sort of non linear game. My first run, the ending was quite emotional in some way where Garrus died because he was pretty much like my buddy since ME1. It was sort of like seeing a good friend of yours died right in front of you. Then, reload, and prevent him from dying. LOL.

Im quite happy that Bioware manage to pull out a rather emotional scene in the game.
*
lulz. The wonderful power of reload saves. tongue.gif

What I don't get is why Garrus didn't just fix his armor after being scarred by that gunship. It's not as if they didn't stop by any nearby armory.

My first run had Miranda, Legion and Samara killed. rclxub.gif Then I realised these 3 were the ones who I didn't manage to do the loyalty mission. (I also didn't know the Reaper IFF thingy had like a built-in timer after you completed that mission).

I played this game effortless. Its really too easy comparing the normal difficulty and other game's normal difficulty. In the last battle i didnt even move an inch. Just hide and shoot until the skeleton die. Skeleton didnt even touch me.

And why sheperd die again? Then they make Mas Effect 3 say bring back sheperd to life wont that be lame? Using same idea over and over sweat.gif
*
Sheppard died? That depends on your teammate loyalty and who you choose for certain tasks.

In my playthrough, Sheppard didn't die. smile.gif

I think, the reason Garrus didnt talk much is because you are a male shepard.

My bro played a female shepard and he is pretty talkative. Could be a bug.
*
Hey, when you talk to him, he'll sometimes reference stuff from ME1. That's definitely a sign he's closer to you than most. That and I like his dry wit alot.

I'm not sure if I got my ME lore right, but was it mentioned that the Geth is just chilling at the Quarian's home planet according to Tali while the ones that were under Saren was included in the Reapers' benefit package?
*
Pretty much. Nothing in ME1 contradicts whatever was revealed about the geth in ME2. It is probable they already written the story in advance.

You definitely can toss Legion to Cerberus and get some credits for it. (although I later reloaded that part cuz I wanted to get Legion. It is funny how the funniest character in ME2 for me are both AIs, EDI and Legion)

The krogan I'm not sure. Don't really like him anyways. Where's Wrex? sad.gif

QUOTE(H@H@ @ Aug 15 2010, 12:35 AM)
Well, the idea behind a retcon is that it makes the previous lore "work" with the current one. The retcon may or may not be realistic, but is still a retcon nonetheless.

The retcon in ME2 may not need to be Crisis on Infinite Earth kind of retcon (Where literally the universe is rewritten to accommodate tie all storylines together), but its still one whether it appears logical. Plus, they could've at least made it look like they actually wrote it in properly by fleshing it out more extensively instead of just having Legion explain that bit in a couple of conversations.

I'm not mad that they did it, just that it looked so transparent and kinda made all that "hate" towards the Geth made in the first game seem ridiculously cheap.
*
Considering the "hate" was due to the ignorance on the part of humanity and others towards the geth, it's pretty realistic to me. Plus being isolated like damn monks for the past 300 years and taking over the quarian homeworld doesn't help your image lol.

Your paragon or renegade level wasn't high enough then.

Yep, it's either a Parangon/Renegade level needed (you either reason him or basically talk him down) or if you did the family armor or not.

Wrex is pure awesome, I killed Ash without hesitation but definitely would have been pissed off if Wrex died  tongue.gif

I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favourite store in the Citadel...

LOL!!!! And I did it in more than 1 store...

Added on August 18, 2010, 8:11 pmAnd it's funny that you get to hear the conversations of the odd couple asari and poetic krogan from Ilium in the krogan homeworld...
*
That line actually became a meme in the Bioware forums.

"I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favourite <insert item>."

The bartender in Illium also had a Krogan father. lulz, she even talks like one.

I tried Renegade options for Tali's loyalty mission. Felt so bad at the end that I reloaded.

You mean the "bad" option? aka

The "real" Renegade option is accusing the court of playing politics. ROFL. tongue.gif
