Decided to create a thread to mention the predictions I've got right and wrong in football. Man of few words, so I'll just get the ball rolling and hope you guys can chip in.

Things I got wrong:
1) Edwin van der Sar should be dropped early this season
- He went on to break the Premier League record.
2) Gary Neville is too old to play in top level football
- He goes on and produce some sterling performances in the league.
3) Ronaldo should have been sold to Madrid as he's not suitable for English football, he's a continental player
- Continental player my ass, he scored 42 and was World Player of the Year!
4) We'd get steamrolled by Chelsea with Giggs and Fletcher in the centre
- We won 3-0 and didn't give Chelsea a sniff.
5) There was no need to sign Patrice Evra!
- After the worst 45 minutes from a debutant, he's gone on to become the best left-back in the world IMHO.
6) Chris Eagles would replace David Beckham after playing very well against Leeds United at Elland Road a couple of seasons back in the League Cup AET win.
- He got sold to Burnley?! WTF?
7) We'd get found out with Tevez and Rooney playing together and find it hard to break teams down without an old fashion centre-forward.
- Yeah right, we won the Double!

To be fair, if I were the gaffer, I'd have sold Louis Saha earlier than he would so I got that right.

Other things I got right:
2) We'd win the Champions League with Owen Hargreaves in our team.
3) Rio Ferdinand would go on to become one of the best centre backs in the world. This was when he was Player of the Year at Leeds United.
4) Vidic would be a better centre half than Brown to partner Ferdinand - this was when Vidic had a tough half season.
5) Arsenal would never win the Champions League under Arsene Wenger (even when they faced Barca, I bet on Barca) and so far, I've been proven right. I still stand by that.
6) The biggest shocker of them all:



Why did I predict so?

If there ever was a prediction I'd have love to get wrong, it'd be that. My wallet did go thicker by several ounces because of that though

i told someone that Scolari won't last long. he doesn't.

thing i got wrong...

robbie keane will stay at anfield for 6 years....but he only stay for 6 month...lol...

things i got wrong :
1. this season it's still between MU and chelsea. so far, i was proven wrong.
2. Anelka sucks.

things i got right:
1. liverpool will drop points while they were leading that time.
2. tottenham WILL NEVER break into top 4. (dunno how many times i say this here and there)
3. Ronaldo wont achieve last season's performance again this season. so far it's correct.

I predicted for last year's Champions League final that Manchester United will win 2-1 with Ronaldo missing a penalty and Drogba sent off..The latter two was correct though..

Things I've got right:

1) Paolo Maldini will play for another season or two.

2) Kaka will not go to Manchester City.

3) Fernando Torres will not face the "second season syndrome".

4) Spain will win the Euro 2008.

5) David Beckham would want to continue playing for AC Milan.

things i got right

1. Liverpool will challenge for the title till May
2. Arsenal will struggle after sell Flamini and Hlleb, and those player are replaced by Denilson and Eboue

things i got wrong

1. Man United wont lead/win the table anymore after lost to Liverpool and Arsenal, then draw with Chelsea ... 1 point from a possible 9 from the top 4 mini league.
2. Chelsea to win the league after an impressive 8 consecutive away win ... suppose good away form can win the league easily ...

things i got right

1. Ryan Giggs overall no.1 player in premier league of all time...its true cos he graced the BPL since it started...he deserves it.
2. Louis Saha to continue being a sicknote even after he leaves.haha.
3. Chelsea to fail even with Scolari. DUH most of the player's hearts are still with the special one.
4. Wellbeck to score against derby the other day. I expected it.
things i got wrong

1. MU to sell C.Ronaldo straight after EURO.i asked my friends to burn their 7 ronaldo shirts d lol.
2. I tot Giggs and Fletcher against Chelsea would stink. Turned out to be one of our best performances in the season.
3. Heinze to keep evra out of the team last time. Since then heinze left LOL!

malaysia never go to the world cup final...so far i got right

Classic.

Things that I got wrong :
1) Giggs and Flecth combo would phailed, yet they pawn Chelsea.
2) Kaka would go to Man City and Man City would be a title contenders.
3) Spurs would challenge the Big Four.
4) Robinho would be a flop.
5) Scolari to manage Chelsea for years to come ..

Things that I got right :
1) Ronaldo won't be sell off to RM.
2) Aston Villa would do well under Martin O'Neil.

Things I got right :
1) Spurs to struggle in the lower half
2) Ronaldo staying
3) Aston Villa breaking into the top four
4) Kaka staying in Milan
5) Failure of the Keane - Torres partnership
