QUOTE(Kampung2005 @ Feb 20 2009, 10:37 AM)
I doubt if a girl studied for degree, she would give up her hardwork in obtaining degree by becoming a fulltime housewife, it is simply unthinkable...
*
It is unexpected and unthinkable....but it does happen in the society especially when conservative culture is still playing a role. Sometimes, people just want to get a degree just because its a DEGREE. A piece of paper to signify your status. I've seen such women especially the one that married a good husband. But at least, it does encourages women to participate in the workforce after graduating which i think we're moving one step closer gender equality in the career field. It's their choice anyway.

But if you would ask my opinion, i don't mind whether my wife is working or not. Its her decision. All i want her to know, is that i love her as always, regardless but hopefully she don't be too lovey dovey to me while im making calls to my clients or boss laugh.gif

QUOTE(PIOPIO @ Feb 20 2009, 10:46 AM)
that's true~ but the thing is... the relationship between you and your mom probably not that close, tell me if you are more close with the one who took care of you when you were young~
*
That's why i always claim, i have two mothers. One at home and one at nursery. Its how you are brought up. I don't tell myself, which one is closer to me thus i will cherish her more. As long i've been brought up the way i want myself to be, i will cherish both my mums. I gotta to understand that its not easy to raise a child like me. Im born under unusual circumstances. laugh.gif

Many people asked me, how was it like to be in the nursery. They were expecting i might be lack of mum's love. But from the way i see it, i think its good that i stayed in nursery for 12 years. It helps me to tell other kids to be strong when your parents are not around with you and your power rangers.

Sad and moments there are. But come to think of it, i blame no one but myself. At the end of the day, i raised up to be a better man washing toilet happily and make good friend and colleague with hobbes.

Its a beautiful life after all.

this one i've to agree with pain~

*
If my wife is working, i might deal with more stresses cos i know there will be guys noticing my wife's cute bum which i probably going to hate. But if she works at home, they provided me a motivation to make more money and bring more food in the fridge and table. But on the bad side, if i ever hire a gardener, i will get insecure laugh.gif

I seen one such girl....

It was too mind boggling, you spend thousands of bucks for education, now she wasted it by becoming a full housewife....it is simply a waste of her potential...
I am encouraging her to work instead of slacking at home after she got the degree...

Afterall, i don't want to see my wife to be detached from real world and protected inside cocoon (HOME)
*
It's sad. But you know, its her decision. Im not the type of person who likes to take away a woman's free will.

We had a similar childhood! ohmy.gif
*
I knew it! You are the one that stole my green ranger in the nursery!

QUOTE(PIOPIO @ Feb 20 2009, 11:01 AM)
i'm glad that you are who you are now, but the thing is~

not all the kids are like you ... some of them just think it differently...

for example

in a bad circumstance, we get to learn and overcome with it, the lucky one will become the stronger one, the unlucky one might be led to the wrong path~ you see the point?
*
Im glad for who i am but the thing is, you cannot widen your thoughts by asking yourself how many children would feel about it or how many are the lucky ones and unlucky ones because you wouldn't get a definite or certain answer to your question. Its not easy. Might as well, hear some testimonials from children like us and listen to us without being judgmental. To the unlucky ones, well too bad because they miss their chances to exploit opportunities to turn into a better person. It might be harsh to some people when i said such thing like that, but you gotta look at the bright side, everybody is living their life at their very best. How best is it, only the person knows. Its not easy to care for too many kids, my friend.

QUOTE(PIOPIO @ Feb 20 2009, 11:16 AM)
think of the bright side, that's true~ but i'm not saying, think of the "negative" side~
i'm saying, get a wider view of it~ it's just that we need to balance it?
just like my sister, she probably work as a piano teacher at home, which is good, so that she can take care of her children, and the same time working at home~
hahaha XD good luck~
*
Opening your mind is more like it rather than widening your thoughts about it.

If by balance you mean comparison between positive and negative, im afraid its going to lead towards to more uncertain answers. But if we listen specifically from individuals to individuals like me and silverhawk, i think you will realize, there's a sunny side in each of us kids laugh.gif Actually come to think of it, there are actually bad day care centers. It just that maybe im lucky enough to be filtered into the good one. I was raised by Philippines and Indonesians. People are not going to perceive me to be raised properly laugh.gif But its nice to bake cakes every Saturday.

IT is important but we're sometimes afraid the way you would or could judge us. Imagine if the negative overpower more positive views, i wonder what would a normal person think.
