I don't know whether they still sell the old Saga (Iswara-type model), like my dad's one. Now the cheapest model is the BLM, right?

Meh, I've taken LRT for more than 7 years (College + Work). I won't mind to take public transport if I my job nature doesn't require me to travel around, but, since I need to frequently go to customer sites (KL, Cyberjaya, Putrajaya, Damansara, TTDI, all the weird weird location) to do support, really need my own transportation.

Oh, yes! Really need that to pak toh... lol

Sooner or later, i will get licence...

It will be like this:

Car - Klang Valley except KL

Public transport (inside KL or probably long distance)
*
The thing I hate the most about public transport is:

1. LRT - Sometimes, if it breaks down, you're in big trouble, and recently Putra is having numerous service interruption.
2. Taxi - Blood-sucking drivers + Some drivers don't want to fetch you at all, even though you're at the heart of the city,

The opinions voiced from the letter is so damn f*cking true.

The recent service interruption was on this Thursday, 19/2/2009. Can you imagine, the train, each round 8 mins during the rush hour? I had been queuing up for 30 mins, and waited for 3 rounds, but yet to get into the train. The downtime is really wasting our time and killing our mood to work, for crying out loud.

That one i know, personally i was waiting at Kelana Jaya station for 1 hour too due to system breakdown...

Anyway, now Rapid KL is changing the electrical system for KJ line to enable the new, longer train to operate sometime this year

But er, they shouldn't build any LRT anyway, they should improve their services first and iron out any issues.

Fixed.

Probably the Rapid KL management don't even know what "Preventive Maintenence" means:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Condition-bas...ive_maintenance

If everytime there is a breakdown and they are using the stamement "Unavoidable technical difficulties", they are either making themselves look stupid or making their technical staffs to appear incompetent to the public. It is as if the LRT system is so cryptic that no one from Rapid KL is able to solve the problem.

I think Wira is quite expensive in terms of maintenance, and the low body design? It doesn't make you feel secure especially when going through road bumps.

Malaysian maintenance is hebat, haha, you know what i mean eh?

Anyway, Rapid Penang will get 152 new buses from Scania and all are with GPS

It is part of the ICIS system, whereby a passenger can call the office to know the bus location

A demonstration video can be seen on UTUBE

Proton car quality has been improved in recent years, unlike the days during the previous CEO in control...

However, still, no first batch...

But anyway, Persona has been launched for 1 year ++++ now

I just hope that traffic lights in KL are a bit smarter.

In the U.S., their traffic lights have Traffic Preemption capabilities. For example, ambulance, paramedics can turn on their Traffic Preemption device as they go closer to the traffic lights and it will turn green. Not like us in Malaysia, their Traffic Preemption device is:

"(siren)(siren) Beri laluan, beri laluan (siren)(siren)"

Then when they reach traffic lights, it is still red, and have to force stopping cars to break the red light....

Aiya, not just that...

Our traffic light system, got one big flaw...

In Singapore, traffic light is usually automated, but during peak hours, human can control the traffic light...

Unlike Mareshia...

Anyway, KL system is ITIS (Roads and buses)

Penang is ICIS and it is just about GPS system in Rapid Penang buses
*
If they got Google Map tracking, then that will be cool and saves lots of time planning to have a bus trip.

E.g., you know the bus will reach your nearest stop in 20mins' time. You don't need to purposely rush to wait for the bus, not knowing when it will come. You can wait comfortably at your house, then slowly walk out 10mins before reaching the stop.
