question: Is it possible for us to check how much data transfer we have used so far.
Because we than can plan to download more or download less in-order to fully use the 10GB allocated for us and also in-order to avoid breaking the 10G quota before the end of month so that our speed will not be capped to 128kbps.

Digi Broadband actually same as Digi 3G, just except Digi 3G does not require us to have a modem instead of phone to online. Right?
*
Digi 3g bundle with the voice package (postpaid only).
You can make video call, send MMS, surf web on your 3g mobile phone in-addition to the voice call.
Your 3g mobile phone has a built in 3g modem.
Also you can connect your phone with USB cable to laptop and access internet on your laptop with the 3g phone's internal modem.
That is one SIM card for all.
http://www.digi.com.my/internet/3g/pricing_58.html

Digi broadband is data only package.
With that one SIM card you can access internet.
Use either 3G mobile phone as modem or use USB stick modem.
most people prefer to use USB stick modem.
If you use 3g phone as modem, it is a waste to the phone's function because you can't make voice call with it.
To make voice call, you need to take out the broadband SIM card, insert a postpaid or prepaid voice SIM card and if you need to do that often you will feel that it is very troublesome.

Whats the difference betw
1) Digi Broadband RM58/mth 3GB
and
2) Digi 3G Unlimited Monthly 58
*
If you already have a Digi postpaid voice account or want to get a Digi postpaid voice account.
The Digi 3G Unlimited is an option, if you choose this that means you have both postpaid voice and internet broadband on one SIM card.
(The Digi 3G Unlimited Monthly 58 is also 3GB quota)

Example: if you have a voice account DG30 and included 3G Unlimited Monthly 58.
Than monthly bill will be RM30+RM58=RM88 in one bill.

yeap...selling at Rm25.00 for 5 days usage...then if u top up, one day is RM2...
*
but minimum topup is RM10.
say you topup today (19 April), so your prepaid account will be active for the next 5 days.
but say you use internet today only.
from 20 April to 23 April you don't use internet but you still need to pay RM2 for that 5 days period.

the reason is the topup RM10 and your prepaid internet stay active for 5 days even you use only one day, after 5 days you prepaid account will become inactive.
so prepaid is actually more expensive that the postpaid "Discovery package"
Now the "Discovery package" is only RM48/month only if you use your own modem (get the Dlink USB HSDPA modem, it cost RM178 only)

further more prepaid Digi broadband download speed is only around 400kb/s, The postpaid digi broadband download speed is around 700kb/s (I tested it before, both prepaid and postpaid)

Just went to DIgi authorised dealer

RM48 a month for 3 Gig, and additional RM5 ringgit discount if sign up auto-debit.

RM43 for 3 Gig , 700kbps Digi HSDPA is a good deal...
*
does the Explore 88 package also has discount if signup autodebit?

Have you reached your quota?
*
hi, i am on Explore 88 monthly quota is 10GB
already reach 9GB usage.

last night tried to download a big file (vista sp2 x64 version, size = 740MB)
but unable to download
tried to download the antivirus lates update also failed

later i use U mobile and no problem at all download the file.

could it be because i already near the monthly allocated quota.
that means when you reach the quota usage, you only can surf cannot download files?

additional info: I still can run utorrent, download speed is near 80KB/s (or 640kb/s)

This is my speedtest.
download speed is slower than upload speed! shocking.gif
note: my usage at the moment is less than 10% of the 10GB quota.
and it is connected at HSDPA not Edge nor gprs.

I tried to download big file (near 90MB) from a local web hosting server (backup file of my personal website)
but unable to download whole file, when reach 78MB it simply cut off!
tried many time...same result....later even worst, after downloaded 40MB it simply hang there.
Last time i use Maxis, Celcom all have the same problem when download big files.

but interesting, last time i download Vista SP1 and SP2 from microsoft website without any problem (nearly 700MB for sp1 and another 700 MB for sp2)
and no problem also when download AVG Internet security, Microsoft Internet security and their updates.

Only with streamyx, i succesfully downloaded the big backup file of my personal website (from that local web hosting server).
