It won't hurt to read the FAQ on DiGi's website but here is the answer to your question:

Q16. And what happens after I’ve reach the maximum capped amount…?
A16. My, my.. You will still be able to access the internet but your broadband connection will be throttled to a lower speed of 128kbps for all 3 packages.

I think the price for DiGi EDGE service is quite reasonable considering that it does not have a Fair Usage Policy so it is a true unlimited Internet connection. smile.gif

128kbps is basically EDGE, normally they will state it for DL. UL not sure

In my opinion, the upload speed will always be lower than the download speed so if the capping speed is 128kbps for download then I'm sure the upload will be 64kbps since anything lower than 64kbps for upload is too low for a broadband connection. Anything lower than 64kbps (8kB/s) can cause a serious lag issue if the connection is multi-tasking.

from digi FAQ:

- The Discover package comes with a data quota/usage limit of 3GB. Usage beyond 3GB will be charged at 15sen/10MB and will be capped at a maximum of RM138/month.
- The Explore package comes with a data quota/usage limit of 10GB. Usage beyond 10GB will be charged at 5sen/10MB and will be capped at a maximum of RM138/month.
- The Extreme package comes with a data quota/usage limit of 20GB. Usage beyond 20GB will be free although the speed will be throttled to 128kbps.

The throttling of 128kbps after the maximum charges of RM138 also applies to the Discover and Explore package.

An exception of course, like my friend who stays in Kuala Lumpur won't really be able to experience one of the fastest broadband connection since many areas in Kuala Lumpur isn't covered yet.

The fastest broadband experience still belongs to wired DSL and fiber.
No arguments to that even on this shore.
