i got my last month bill but found the usage history in the bill is not correct... i'm sure i used the BB everyday... but, that's not the case in the bill... very funny!

As my modem is plugged into a 3.5G router which doesn't keep all the browsing history and therefore, i also dun know what is my usage level...

Feedback a few time to Digi to improve their system so that user can keep track of their usage in Digi OCS... but, was told by a customer service that the solution will only ready by end of the year...

Hmm... it needs Digi to take so long for such a solution?

Usually I am tempted to Speedtest if my current IP is yet to be tested. wink.gif

ya... every speedtest will consume ~1MB of usage smile.gif

Thanks for the feedback. I think I am gonna try it out when my budget permits. Wanna sell yours?  tongue.gif

sorry that i don't keep the modem+router with me anymore (i asked for refund as i faced slow ul with my unit)... as i still prefer to have mobility by buying a USB modem + another wireless router, so that i still can online when travel... bring the modem+router around is definitely a rclxub.gif

good to see Digi is expanding rapidly... otherwise, other ISP are still sleeping...

btw, when more and more users in Digi BB, it's a good chance for Digi to prove that he is smarter choice... smile.gif I hope the incident that i faced on last Sat night wouldn't happen again... (The connection was switching between Edge & HSDPA with most of the time at Edge... everything was back to normal after 1AM mid night...)

So, would appreciate all of us (Digi supporters) to close monitor the situation and feedback to Digi immediately so as to maintain Digi's good reputation...

Again, Digi is still my best choice... smile.gif

Depending where you mean by KL city centre, Bukit Bintang (at least near the Menara Standard Charted area) was already covered with HSPDA though it's not on the map.

So far from my observation is that they are quite conservative in terms of exposing new coverage areas, assuming that they are under testing phase and would only expose them once they are confident of doing so and that they could make an impressive marketing pitch out of the expanded coverage (like WHOLE KLANG VALLEY COVERED!!!). So the only way to know whether an area is covered by 3G is directly from unofficial sources, i.e. DiGi BB users.

Ya... from my observation, Digi wouldn't give all the empty promise...

yes... this shows how frustrated it is for most of the broadband users in the market...

The market is truly required someone to set a new benchmark for broadband service now... Digi? TMNet? Celcom? Maxis? P1? etc...

Digi could be our hope... at least, i've lost my trust on others...

Yeah Digi is the first to purposely underpromise (promise average 700kb but typically deliver >1mb) & they are reaping the PR benefit.

They're probably being too conservative about rolling out. The current higher price & lower bandwidth cap  helps to keep the riff raff (a.k.a. college students who seem to spend 90% of their student lives torrenting) away from digi so I doubt their network will get overloaded any time soon even if they covered the whole of KL.
*
agree that torrenting will impact the overall network performance but they should get ready for the worst case to happen... if the network can't stand it then they should think a way to improve or upgrade their system, not just sitting and do nothing, hoping the worst will be over... in this century, we need to get prepared for the worst case...

i think Digi has studied this before and that's why they will charge u if over the monthly quota, this is fair enough to everyone... but, it will be better if allow customer to choose their limit instead of the default RM138... before the speed is throttled.

again... all Digi supporters, do hope that everyone of us can help to give feedback to Digi so as to maintain and improve it's broadband service... it's time for the broadband market to rise their quality bar now...

base on the FUP, your speed will be throttled to 128kbps after you're exceeded all the limit... RM138 for both discover & explore or RM188 for extreme package

Erm... looks like nothing is perfect in this world... In Digi broadband faq (http://www.digi.com.my/broadband/faq.html), Question #20... I've talked to Digi broadband customer service for many times and confirmed that currently there is no way to monitor your usage before you get the bill...

Originally, i felt not comfortable with the auto-charging when over the quota and on-hold my subscription... it's this faq that convinced me to sign up Digi broadband...

Overall, i'm very satisfied with Digi bb... this is the only thing that i don't like...

Funny, there is a column "Duration/Volume" in OCS, whats that for?

user posted image

I believe you're looking at your unbilled transaction page, the "Duration/Volume" is the total bytes that you had used during the login session... i tell u, this "Unbilled Transaction" is also not accurate... you could get different data on different time... like my case, 2 days ago i have 145 login session and now i only got 84 session... even Digi customer service also told me, "Unbilled Transaction" is not accurate and can not be used to track your usage...

Was wondering, anyone here is sharing their Digi BB connection at home over several laptops and PCs?

Just to clarify, the only way of doing it either purchasing a wireless router with simcard or through ICS right? Any other way to do it.
*
Personally, i'm sharing my Digi BB with 2 laptop and 1 PC... i bought a 3.5G wireless router and plug my modem to the router.... to me, router is a easier solution than ICS... but, a bit costly...

ok..thanks for you help i really appriciate it.
I think i going for digi bb ad since i got no other option as celcom capped me after finish 5gb which i think is not enough for 4 people, streamyx cannot be used as there will be contract bond with them for at least 12 months and the streamyx agent told me that no new port is going to be install and they will include me in the old port but the old port is already full so i think i going to be robbing other people line which i think will make me disconnect oftenly(correct me if i'm wrong)  rclxm9.gif

fyi... i'm using CNet CWR635M (bought from LYN Mika) at RM299 and it serves me well... But, i'm not a heavy downloader...

Yes, i don't like the additional charges... too bad that there is no way to stop the auto charging for old subscribers...

Is it that difficult for Digi to stop this auto-charging?

better double confirmed this with Digi... as far as what i know, there is no "no cap" for Digi BB when you exceed your quota... this is how FUP works...

Apparently the existing subscriber will not have to pay additional charges as well.

The latest bill that I received did not have any additional charges and I have used more than 10GB...

DiGi Always the Smartest Choice!!!
*
is that mean Digi didn't charge u extra despite of your usage (in your bill) has over the quota? if yes, then Digi is really the smartest choice for me biggrin.gif let's see my coming bill, no sure got extra charges or not...

But, i did heard someone got extra charges after over the quota...

I've checked the web, but i'm on the vicinity of the coverage area, which is very near (about 200m).
Hmm, what is did was first , click web > connect to internet > a list of option pop out, include maxis 3G internet, streaming and various other but no digi.

Added on July 12, 2009, 6:29 pmanyone can tell me what is the modem's name? I'm finding a compatible usb router for it... found one , aztech rotuer but not sure if they are compatible.
*
besides Aztech, probably you can try CNet CWR635M... i'm using it now and so far so good... I bought it at RM299 from Mika from LYN too...

the router does support quite many model of modem... i'm using my Sierra 885 with the router at this moment...
