WARNING for those people with contract is going to be over.

Please go to any digi center to check in their system whether the "accidentally" renew your contract for another 12 months.

My suprise was my contract was supposed to expire on 20 March 2010 but Digi system renew my contract, the consequences is i have to pay for penalty if i want to terminate the line eventhough i have been paying RM15 per month for the last 12 months for the modem......till now there is no answer from digi on why my contract was renewed....

DIGI SYSTEM SUCKS BIG TIME..........

is that mean when you apply for digi broadband, let say RM88 ( promotion price ) 10GB free modem, after 1 year should be RM108 ( normal price ).
Now Digi charge you RM108 start from 13th month onwards? I think that is normal if Digi auto renew for you. But i know maybe some1 don't like to auto renew.
We should have a option to choose after 1 year, or prompt us sms to let us know at least.

Or your problem now is on 13th month, you want to terminate now but they ask you for the modem penalty fee? In that case thier system got problem...

btw, i terminate my RM88 at 7th month, so i need to pay balance RM15x6 = RM90 for the modem. This is what my experience.

Then another problem came out. When i terminate that time, the guy told me that the auto debit will stop immediately. It's mean i have to pay the bill manually when received the statement next month. WTF, when i received the statement and pay the bill ( 20 something only ) on next day, i reliazed that my credit card already "help"
me to pay the bill. Already called digi, they say they will return money to me within 3 month...Digi staff give me wrong info so i overpaid.
So sad i never login to check my credit card trans. feq......

how much they "want" for the penalty fee?
*
as at this month is RM165....but i have started my contract 20 March 2009 to 20 March 2010, so i have fullfill my 1 year contract so i can actually teminate my line without any penalty.

And since my contract is officially over and if they still charge me RM15 for the modem in my next bill, i'm gonna screw some unlucky SC at Bukit tinggi branch kau kau.....

Did you read the T&C first? Maybe they got stated that if didn't hear from you a certain period, you account will auto renew.....better go thru and double check lor...this kind of big big company like to play this kind of things one.

They will said we go stated in the T&C did you read...and later you found out that it park under one small little corner with those tiny little fonts....I once kena with our famous budget airline before....damm.....

Bro, there is no such thing as contract renewal, i did not take any new modem from them so why should i want to be tied up with a new contract, right? Problem is this contract enforce the penalty, but i already paid up my modem in full from 20 March 2009 to 20 March 2010, Rm15/month=RM180.......

I fufill my contract why do they renew my contract, contract usually applies when you take a free modem or free phone.......this contract renew but i did not take anything.......

What t&C????

I have paid the modem in full some they ask me to pay somemore.......tiew digi

P/S...do you actually read the T&C and are you a digi broadband user, your remark/answer are out of topic loh...

Even DiGi broadband packages state the "contract-free" marketing term, but in the law term, there is a mandatory "business contract" between DiGi and you as a customer.

When you receive a copy of your registration form, the T&C mentioned is a business contract apart from what DiGi has promoted on its Broadband packages website:
•  Advance payment: 1 month of the monthly fee (non-refundable).
•  One month’s fee advance payment and deposit of RM500 required  for foreigner registrations.
•  Usage volume is calculated based on monthly bill cycle.
•  All speeds shown are average speeds which can be higher during non-peak hours.
•  Fair usage policy applies.
•  Upon reaching usage quota, speed will fall to 128kbps.
•  Stamp duty of RM10 applies and will be reflected in the first bill.
•  Existing customers subscribed to Extreme will be maintained at their respective speed and quota.

What i meant was contract against the modem i took and not business contract loh........

senario..
When you take digi modem with their broadband, you are tied up in a contract for 12 months(digi price their modem@rm180, their penalty is based on that price RM15/month)
I sign up on 20th March 2009 so basically my modem contract expire on 20 March 2010, but when i check with digi center system yesterday, my contract renew to 20 March 2011 so if i cancel my line, i will be charged penalty(for the modem).....i have served the duration of my contract and yet digi renew for another 1 year for what? You know what i'm talking about?

sad.gif My speed is still capped @ 128kbps. Heck, I didn't even receive the message saying I've used up 75% or 100% of the quota.
*
i think next time you better monitor from Digi ocs instead of using 3rd party software. previous month indicate over 20GB is it using digi bb?

Do I need a 3G simcard to use Digi's 3G?

ALso, it seem I can't connect to the internet when my phone is in 3G mode but in an EDGE only area. Isn't it supposed to fall back to EDGE automatically
*
no need 3G sim card as all current sim card are capable to support 3G/3.5G, my phone can connect to internet when in 3.5G area, what phone are you using?
Have you activate your 3G?

I understand what you've said. In fact, what you have said just now is also a business contract even it is about the modem. It fits my point well about why "contract-free" that DiGi uses for promotion is just a marketing strategy. You still have an underlying business contract with DiGi upon the promotion package inclusive of the modem.
*
i know, the renew it after i finish the business contract mah......where got renew one...........

do take note that stability if measured by torrent downloading is highly dependent on the "quality" of the torrent file and no of seeds...
*
I doubt your statement, i switch back to my streamyx 1Mbps connection and it only get 69kB/s max and sometimes it drop to 25kB/s and go back up to 69kB/s.....

This prove that digi BB line in my area are stable....very stable while streamyx line is unstable.....

anyone has the speedtest result on 3G hsdpa? especially with the RM68 internet unlimited package. this package seems very enticing.....sleep.gif , no usage capped per month. and for the similiar price, faster than tmnet RM68 sucking384kbps package.
*
Got capped lah bro, 3GB per month.....

It's call unlimited cause after 3GB you can still surf but at 128kbps

Q6. Is there a quota for the DG Smart Plan? What happens when I exceed my quota? Do I need to pay more?
A6. There is a fair usage quota of 3GB for the DG Smart Plan. If you exceed your quota, your speed will be reduced to 128kbps. You will not be charged extra and you will still surf for free.

My 1MB streamyx is RM77 only, why your 0.384MB is RM68.....soo expensive loh...

There's no cap. 3gb just quota. As u exceed, they just limit speed. Cap means u reach the cap, you can't use. Playing with words.

Should be Quota, not cap....soli yah...smile.gif
