Even DiGi broadband packages state the "contract-free" marketing term, but in the law term, there is a mandatory "business contract" between DiGi and you as a customer.
When you receive a copy of your registration form, the T&C mentioned is a business contract apart from what DiGi has promoted on its Broadband packages website:
• Advance payment: 1 month of the monthly fee (non-refundable).
• One month’s fee advance payment and deposit of RM500 required for foreigner registrations.
• Usage volume is calculated based on monthly bill cycle.
• All speeds shown are average speeds which can be higher during non-peak hours.
• Fair usage policy applies.
• Upon reaching usage quota, speed will fall to 128kbps.
• Stamp duty of RM10 applies and will be reflected in the first bill.
• Existing customers subscribed to Extreme will be maintained at their respective speed and quota.
http://www.digi.com.my/internet/broadband/tnc.htmlWhat i meant was contract against the modem i took and not business contract loh........
senario..
When you take digi modem with their broadband, you are tied up in a contract for 12 months(digi price their modem@rm180, their penalty is based on that price RM15/month)
I sign up on 20th March 2009 so basically my modem contract expire on 20 March 2010, but when i check with digi center system yesterday, my contract renew to 20 March 2011 so if i cancel my line, i will be charged penalty(for the modem).....i have served the duration of my contract and yet digi renew for another 1 year for what? You know what i'm talking about?

My speed is still capped @ 128kbps. Heck, I didn't even receive the message saying I've used up 75% or 100% of the quota.
i think next time you better monitor from Digi ocs instead of using 3rd party software. previous month indicate over 20GB is it using digi bb?
