I personally think that DIGI 3G broadband is the BEST after the alliances with TIME DOT COM.. As we know that TDC is the 100% fiber optic trunk network. From Penisular Malaysia to East Malaysia, direct fiber link to international route..(no need to go through telekom).. Therefore, DIGI 3G will be fully benefit of the infra..

Picture worth thousand word.. Look at the infra diagram

http://www.time.com.my/corporate/special_fibre.asp
TIME DOT COM infra

An Information Super Highway

Introducing Malaysia's most comprehensive fibre optic communications infrastructure, TIME's Information Super Highway, a project with a capital investment of over RM3.8 billion.

With regional fibre optic cables running along the major highways and complemented by submarine fibre optic cables along the coastlines, augmented where necessary with wireless, digital microwave and satellite connectivity, we can provide you with an advanced and reliable communication capability to suit your every need locally and internationally.
Regional fibre optic cables

Our land-based fibre optics stretch over 3,600 km in Peninsular Malaysia with lines criss-crossing the country and connecting into the main network along the 850 km North-South Expressway.
Submarine fibre optic cables

The submarine fibre optic cables totaling 1,624 km are laid along the coastline of Peninsular from Pulau Langkawi, Kedah to Kota Bharu, Kelantan connecting to 25 coastal sites.
Digital microwave and satellite

The digital microwave and satellite links cover remote places or areas not yet serviceable by our fibre optic cables.
International investment

We are currently providing access to over 240 countries and territories around the world. With investments in most Asian and Trans-Pacific cable systems as well as direct access to satellite facilities, we are able to offer international telecommunications services to carriers, resellers, multinational corporations and consumers in Malaysia and around the world.
Our international partners include:

    * Optus and Telstra in Australia
    * Hong Kong Telecom International in Hong Kong
    * MCI in USA
    * Indosat in Indonesia
    * Kokusai Denshin Denwa (KDD) in Japan
    * Jabatan Telekom Brunei in Brunei
    * Philippines Long Distance Telephony (PLDT) in Philippines
    * Singapore Telecom in Singapore

I am saying DIGI would benefit from TDC infrastructure...Huawei is the 3G equipment vendor...This include setting up 3G infra & network... Bare in mind, 3G is the 1st phase..After that, data is transmit on LAND line...Pls read my post# 369 again so that u have a better picture where is the position of 3G services...

currently I'm using Celcom (RM 68) package but I'm thinking of changing to another operator. Just came back from DIGI & take some brochure

It stated :

RM 66/ month for unlimited data

My questions is :

What is the limit of the data per month. Celcom also said unlimited but after i used my 5GB/month, they capped my my download speed to 128kbps...

Any idea friends...??

As far as I know for DiGi's EDGE service, there's no bandwidth cap or whatsoever. Well, in my opinion they will reduce the price by a little but they wouldn't reduce it by much and they will try to promote their 3G service.

For DiGi EDGE, its on going

For the latest broadband, throttle down to 128kbps after quota is breached
