Dear Rakyat,

Whether vios J or NHC, both are good cars compare to proton in terms of styling and features. If you wanna go for looks, NHC will be your first choice. If you don't have extra money, vios J

As simple as that.

and also some friends called, they said some branches in JB offering 2,200 discount! any JB-rian to comment on this?
*
RM2200?

I think the best they give - RM1k. If discount RM2.2k, really a good buy smile.gif

biggrin.gif  Just come back from the 1st service. 3 weeks 883KM only. They checked the alignment and reset the ECU, hope the FC will improve  rolleyes.gif . Yah, got a bad news for NHC buyers. I am not sure how true is it, the SA told me that next monday onward, the interest rate will increse to  cry.gif 3.2%  cry.gif .... THANKS PXXXXX  mad.gif . However, if you have got your loan earlier, the bank can still keep the old rate for about a month, GOOD LUCK guys.
*
Well, i've heard some SA mention that too. But don't worry, if it happens, during this economic situation, the car sales will definitely drop and they will revert back soon.

The NAP 2009 review is coming soon. That's the one we need to worry smile.gif

I hope that's not true.  Otherwise, I am dead meat cz the car that I am driving now is ceritified.  Need to change a new car already.

Btw what does NAP means?
*
NAP = National Automotive Policy

Some clowns told me it will open market when each country sign the papers. But I wonder what will happen to proton/perodua.

Thanks for the reply.  When did you get ur car?

Encountered bad experience just now when I tried calling the branches as regards the offer.  They were so rude.

Anyway, mind giving mr ur SA particulars so that i could hanggle on him!
Any other comments on the latest promotion are welcomed.

thanks.
*
If you face those rude SA, ignore them. They does not have the right to serve you. It's their loss. Don't worry, go another showroom and look for better deals.

What? faint  rclxub.gif

Added on April 17, 2009, 5:30 pmMr Anwar-what do you think of the increased rate?
*
As i said earlier, if it happens, let it be. The SA might give more reductions + freebies.

Remember one thing, don't rush when buying car. SA are the one who rush smile.gif

Meaning what you said earlier might not happen?
*
I hope what i said earlier really do happen. But seems so strange the interest increase so high for non-national car.

Doesn't make sense. The rates apply to toyota also? How about their current promotion 1.68% interest (5 years)?

I have to ask my fren later. No worries smile.gif

QUOTE(Darkchaser @ Apr 18 2009, 05:15 AM)
Really really doesn't make sense for interest rate increase. Frankly it's ridiculous. Just as government initiated a scheme to encourage people to buy cars, suddenly they increase interest rates?

The whole thing is made even funnier with today's statement by Bank Negara's chief Tan Sri Zeti:

http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?f...60&sec=business

If Bank Negara has made interest rate cuts, why do we not enjoy these cuts? Instead we are getting the total opposite of it. This is also contradicting to their intention of giving greater access to loans.

I hope they revise the interest rate soon....I've been planning to get a NHC myself, and they've made me rethink on my decision.....my current car will be sold soon and I really need to decide on a replacement quick.
*
That's why Ketuanan Rakyat will understand and solve such problems.

I don't think it will happen as it might be a hype.

I totally second what you have just said.

I too find it ridiculous when I came to know about this-the rumor.

Hopefully it is just a rumor, otherwise, I have to solute them for making such a good decision!

Anyhow, I am facing the predicament that you are facing now.  Worse still, I just sold my car yesterday!  Sigh.

Btw i have always wondering if u are the real anwar, although I know you are not.  Because of your nick and photo.  Lols.

Well, just called sales manager dealer, he said it is happening but there will be some adjustments. He also doesn't understand the reason behind it.

I ask whether there will be any more rebates? He can't promise anything but depends on the sales target.

So, when nobody make any bookings after the increment, they will give more definitely.

NHC takes around 2-3months waiting, that time the interest might be coming down.

QUOTE(gfunk11 @ Apr 24 2009, 03:09 PM)
It's just personal preference. E or S main thing we're talking about is the accessories... that's it. Compare the both, all the main aspects that make it an NHC is the same. hehehe...

One other consideration is the waiting time... some need a car now, some can't wait, some just don't care, some can wait and some can't live w/out the additional accessories, hehehe...

E-Spec waiting period is between 3-4 months (i may be wrong, so don't hantam me la)

S-Spec waiting period is a little over a month (might have changed recently, I don't know)

In any case, RM5k doesn't represent the whole nature of which model to choose from. RM60 additional is a small increase to pay if you're able to afford an NHC. Then again, RM60 per month to some might be well worth on something else. Again, personal preference.

Some of the items mentioned that make the E-Spec more desirable:

1. Paddle Shift (Then again, it's a 1.5 car and what kind of power increase can you expect from normal D and S gear mode? Has anyone Dyno'ed their NHC? Personal feeling is subjective, facts and figures speak for themselves) Then again, some might argue that it's more fun with the paddle shift. See, 2 different point of views. If you don't use it, it'll just be a nice cosmetic "racing-feel touch-up" to the car

2. Fog Lamp (Fog in Malaysia? Hehehe... just kidding. It's useful on roads with little or no lights. And going up Genting, Frasers, Cameron, etc. Good Safety reason too)

3. Signal Side Mirrors and automatic folding (This is nice. Helps you get in tight places and ensures they're protected. Not to mention an additional light to tell the person next to you or in front of you that you're turning)

4. 16" Rims (Doesn't matter. 15" is the same and tyre's are much cheaper @ 15" size. In any case, both rims are ugly looking. Then again, most will probably think about changing to nicer sport rims sooner or later)

5. Reclining back seats (Well, if you carry allot of people around, then fine. But most of the time you won't enjoy this benefit anyways. YOU'RE THE DRIVER) It doesn't recline that far anyways... tongue.gif

There are others but the above is eye catching. All i'm trying to point out to potential NHC owners is, IT'S UP TO YOU! WHAT DO YOU WANT? WHAT'S PRACTICAL? There are Pro's and Con's above and beyond the RM5k. Think about it. smile.gif

End of the day, it's still an NHC and it's still the same engine, body, chassis, braking system, ABS, EBD, and other stuff.
*
E-Spec = Black Pearl / Polished Metalic = 3-4 months. Other colors = 2 months++

E-Spec over S-Spec = 5k = 99% worth. Even the SA couldn't find any reason not to brainwash potential car buyers
