This i don't know which range of Meguiars they are using at the 3 steps, so far Meguiars' NXT 2.0 wax sealant cost about RM128. Price control, buy from dealer or distributor also same price.

Still deciding whether DIY or let them to do. If DIY, i need to buy 300-400 Meguiars product to complete the process and it will take me at least 3 hours to complete(of course DIY can do up to 10 times). If i let my friend to do it, save time, energy but 1 time process only. lol. headache.  rclxub.gif

I think it's the 3-step using the Deep Crystal Polish & Wax. If you wanna get Meguiars product cheaper about 20%, check out which Saturday they are having their auto clinic held at Hypercoat, USJ.

You mentioned your friend... does he/she works at Meguiars? IMHO, if you are not very good at paint detailing, I would advised you let someone professional to do it or you may botched up your paintwork.

Btw, once HC3 is more established, we can opt for a auto clinic at Meguiars for this club.

So far what i bought for my baby are Autolock - RM120, Coil Mat - RM160 & Lock Tech - RM 360. And now i planning to go for Meguiars 3 steps polishing and waxing, it costs RM499. My friend's husband own 5 car wash, so she give me one extra sealant. Normal discount rate is RM499 include 3 steps polishing & waxing and a chemical to protect all windows (to prevent water marks & the white thingy). She did give me extra sealant to protect the paint.
It is worth to do? please advise.

My friend's husband own the car wash centre, so they bought Meguiars from distributor like Hypercoat or a-dealer. I not sure where they get Meguiars tho.

Wax will last about 2 weeks but you dun need to polish for a year or so. The main difference between this and PPS is PPS puts a layer of protective film over your existing paint where else this detailing treats your car paint to give it better gloss and shine but you still need to apply need to wax your car every few weeks. The bottomline is you either get a good looking paintjob but you still need to wax or you dun have to wax often and just wash but you won't get the best paint look.

Hypercoat(Meguiars) is the sole importer and distributor of Meguiars product and they do not open on Saturday. However, they sometimes conduct their auto clinic on some of the Saturdays. If we(as a club) apply for their auto clinic, we definitely get that 20% discount on their consumer products except the professional products. If Hypercoat has a auto clinic(usually a car club will be present) on the particular Saturday, you can sometimes get that discount automatically(happens once on my case).

Just to share more on their consumer line...

NXT = this product focuses more to protection not looks therefore more water beading, the sealant last longer, etc.
Gold Class = this product focuses more to looks, deep gloss or shine therefore their waxes are carnuba type and they don't last as long as NXT.

Yup, I was reading their website too. I heard the Jln Templer is another one of their branches. I was planning to join another car club for their event there but due to poor response, it has been cancelled.

Btw, who are the Honda City Enthusiast Club? They are not Team City, right?

I might go for this few products.

NXT Generation® Car Wash

I can only comment on the Scratch X since I have only that one of all you listed above. I find it very effective in removing most scratches at clear coat level(if your scratches reaches base coat/paint, this you cannot fix at all).

The other products I have used so far are the Gold Class Car Shampoo, Safe-Degreaser(Professional Line), Quik Detailer, Quik Wax, Gold Class Trim Detailer and The Natural Shine Vinyl. Two of the items I mentioned above I got it free smile.gif

Oh, btw... the Deep Crystal system, you can buy it together in a set instead of buying individually. I cannot remember whether it comes with a clay bar or not. I have to check again either on the website or with them.

I attended two auto clinic under two clubs in the past so that's why I got two freebies from both the clinics.

The NXT series like I mentioned is more to protection to your paint job. The Gold Class is the other series more to looks. There is a professional line of products of Meguiars but those are what the car care centre uses or more for professional DIY detailers. I checked their website and they have another range I am not aware about.

Saturday just collected my NHC PMM E spec. drive for 3 days already. Feel satisfied on it. luckily the previous discussed problem regarding the gear sluggish changing matter doesn't really bad for me, enjoy the audio system much, and overall quite comfortable especially the rear seat. Haven't installed anything yet for it. Just the Ecotint solar + safety tinting, the mat, hanger and sun shade. Currently looking into safety gadget like brake lock or steering lock. Might getting a boot tray when there's released after market. Besides, probably need the side step to avoid scratching. Exterior part, guess nothing much need to add up. but looking into the spoiler. Dun like the Modulo spoiler. Guess the Mugen spoiler will be a killer look. hope so. nod.gif

Lovin' it smile.gif
