Actually your left sidebar loads faster is because of your bryanlyt.png that takes 500 kb.hopefully nuffnang will do something about it =S
A 125 x 125 image should not be that big. It's bandwidth hogging and not user friendly at all.
Try to use gif image or jpeg instead. Then try again.
