My proposal

Inside KL Golden Triangle, KLCC and Bukit Bintang can be said most frequented shopping area....

I have walked from Berjaya Times Square to KLCC..........but for many people, it is tiring and hot....

Looking from map, i suggest DBKL to build an overhead bridge for pedestrian, featuring air-conditioning, walkalators (travellators).......it will encourage people to walk a bit further (exercise)...this is a bridge to connect all KL Golden Triange shopping areas...

user posted image

It is entirely feasible in my opinion, afterall the distance maybe less than 1.5 km......all with airconditioning, well, to prevent loitering, it is best to connect this bridge to as many sites (buildings) as possible to increase its usage...

It is similar to this concept

RM 450 million to develop MPV.................this is entirely new platform
Therefore, i can foresee the next model will be cheaper in development cost because there is a new platform to start with....
In global standard, it is considered cheap...
My last visit to Proton factory to see their facilities, provides me an insight of they workings...
I have seen the mockup interior of the Exora too...
I believe, if they are consistent enough in production record and quality, they can slower climb out of gutter...
As witnessed in 2008 sales data, Saga managed to eat Myvi shares...
At the end of the day, remove protectionism and improve public transport, simple as that...
Having automotive company doesn't mean we have to make our public transport like shyt

At the same time, an MPV should work wonders in Indonesia where over 60% of their market is of MPV
*
korek korek; about public transport - hmmm i dont know..the buses; the truck etc is under perform in msia. we stil got the ancient trucks.
we still use the old dirty truck.

Good idea but not practical as of yet
First fix the Malaysian mentality either by hook or crook first

We have overhead bridges and yet there are ppl dieing underneath it
Its not the aircond, using the bridge or not its still hot
You are very much safe by using the overhead pedestrian bridges, yet ppl refuses to use it for convenience sake

infact i walked there from Times square to BB>LYN plaza> pavillion then KLCC.
we cant have too much overhang; the land there is too improper. Urban redesign is in plan now in fact.
DBKL is just doom; monkey do monkey land.

Blueprint KL dunno wat year doesnt have a proper fucntional n efficient proposal.

Kampung; ever consider something like from orchard rd to suntec city singapore. Underground?

I think this is different than normal overhead pedestrian bridge, because overhead pedestrian bridges normally about 100 to 300 m at most...

Whereas this bridge (air conditioned) is about 1.5 km

For now, people going to KLCC from Bukit Bintang have to take monorail, then walk from Bukit Nanas to Dang Wangi, then from Dang Wangi to KLCC, isn't it tiring?

With this bridge, it is faster without waiting and there is travellator as well...

Maintenance wise, i suggest divide this bridge to several section that is maintained but adjacent building/tower management...

There is one underground walkaway in existence in KL, which Suria KLCC to KL Convention Centre

Underground, can be considered, but the interesting question is cost...

DBKL is full of fail lah, Plaza Rakyat now like the biggest mosquito spot in KL biggrin.gif

Still back to basics fix our Malaysian mentality first

Looking at our road conditions, i have doubts that the aircond or the bridge will ever be maintained as schedule

Looking at our crime rates, snatch theft and pickpockets, i doubt it will be as safe as we would want to imagine it to be

korek korek..
nt just tat too. a redesign of those area will spur speculation. its actual from the mistake carry past 20 or 50 yrs ago when they had the city like disorganize.

the pattern is there but the plotting & development of sustainable city is not there.

its same case as sydney; the worst metropolis in Australia.

Was wondering, how do you build such 1.5 km bridge across the busy land?
