And hows the sound/performance like?

well, its capable of modeling or imitating some of the best-known wah sounds like vox, dunlop & morley..not to mention boss' own original ones. also got built-in distortion/overdrive modeler and noise-suppressor..with 3 memory storages to boot. so frankly, with all these sound & performance possibilities imho its a steal la at this price ;D

sure looks like '57 classic...but that name for pickups was only introduced in 91/92...

Yo. To be honest i don't really know about them, just going by what the previous owner told me

He said "these don't have the stickers indicating they're Classics, but an LP-fanatic friend of mine said its because they're from the 80's" or something to that effect.

So I'm guessing what he meant was; these are the predecessor/equivalent to the newer production Classics line perhaps? Just without names or labels..
